I'm wanting to give my h2b a hamper with all sorts of little gifts in for him on the morning of our wedding (e.g. Aftershave, socks, alcohol) and I want to put a really nice poem in there too, I've had a look on Google where I got some amazing poems for my bridesmaids, but nothing has really caught my eye for my groom. Has anyone else had this idea, if so what poem are you putting in?

This is going to be our vows but it might work as a non rhyming poem
I take you to be my best friend,
my faithful partner and my one true love.
I promise to encourage you & inspire you
and to love you truly through good times and bad.
I will forever be there to laugh with you,
to lift you up when you are down
    and to love you unconditionally
through all of our adventures in life together.

You could add, "see you down the aisle"

Your last few minutes as a single man
Before you say I do remember we can
We can climb mountains put in our way
We can find rainbows on a cloudy day
As I take the last steps of my single life
I grow as a person when I become your wife
You fill my heart and make me glow
What's more to say than I love you so

Laura I'm doing a box for Carl. In it is a personalised Liverpool new season top, socks that say 'in case you get cold feet!!', pants that are embroidered 'getting my Mrs Chicken 28/06/14', and I've just been on that well known card website and made a card with all photos of us plus a mug that says 'Carl Keep Calm You're marrying Rachel'. Also a miniature bottle of Jack. I love the idea of a poem I'm not very creative myself so keep them coming and I'll be stealing one lol!!

you've got special pants for NO-ONE to see
you can strut your stuff when its just you and me
put Jack in your mug and sip it real slow
we`re almost married so go with the flow
this time tomorrow we`ll start a new life
    Gee you`ll be a husband and i`ll be a wife .
