Been having a little look around to get an idea on prices and have noticed that most photographers ect only work until the 1st dance. I would like someone who is going to stay right to the bitter end as we are having fireworks at midnight and I would love to have some fantastic photo's and video from that. Has anyone been able to hire a photographer/videographer for the whole day and what sort of price did they charge for that?
    TIA xx

You can always ask them if they would stay on, they may request extra payment for it though, you're getting married NYE aren't you?

Ours does but he has said that if we were having fireworks etc then he would stay for that. We aren't but I got the impression it was in with his standard price. Might be a bit more for him to stay to midnight.

I would ask around. I'm sure that some would do it for you.

Just ask them, they would be silly not to adapt their packages.

Think I will ask, to be honest I never budgeted a lot for a photographer as I was going to ask a friend of mine (professional) to do it but have now decided that's not really fair. will send a few emails and ask how much extra it will be. Yes it's NYE GF which means I'm probs going to have to pay extra extra :( oh well I knew what I was letting myself in for when I chose the date

Any tog/videographer will stay on longer but you will have to pay them for the extra hours! Unfortunately being NYE, you will have quite an expensive time of it as we were getting married on NYE for a while but changed it for personal reasons x

I think a lot of photographers will stay until the first dance, go away and then come back for the fireworks...unless they are doing a Photo Booth stylie thing for you in the evening then theres not really much going on for them to photograph, I've seen photographers around that advertise coming back later on for fireworks

I think the important thing is to ask anyone you approach exactly what their packages contain, if they do any extras, etc.

Our guys are doing both video and photo, and going to be there from start to finish - morning prep through to end of the evening - and that's costing us £2000 with their fayre-flyer discount.
Another company we looked at just after (same fayre) would have cost us the same just for video from ceremony start to first dance, and then extra for things like the morning prep or anything after the first dance! I was stunned.

Never hurts to ask, and if you can't get what you want, don't be afraid to say no thanks and keep looking - you've got plenty of time right now to get the best idea of what you can get for your money!
