I got married on the 27th August and I haven't heard from the photographer since despite texting and emailing her. She wrote on her Facebook page and website yesterday saying that she's not taking any bookings for the rest of the year due to ill health which I understand but we currently don't have a single picture of our wedding day (None of our guests took photos). How long would you leave it before trying to contact her again? Thanks xx

Sorry to hear this Kirsty..... To be honest, it has only been a couple of weeks and we didn't hear from ours until 3 weeks and it's only then purely because I looked on their website and noticed our photos were ready that I text them.
Maybe give her another week and then push more..... Do you know where they live?? Are you able to go round?

Kirstie, sorry to hear you're having problems getting hold of her, I can understand how anxious you would be.
Did she work just her or did she have an assistant photographer with her?
It can take a couple of weeks to get the photos from their raw state into something good enough to send to the happy couple. Think if I recall, ours were available about 2 weeks after our wedding and we're online. It took longer to get the finished pics on disc to then start choosing the ones to go into the official album he was getting made up for us.
Hopefully she is okay, it may be she is unwell suddenly and is therefore delayed processing your photos to get them ready for access online or on disc and then maybe can't physically respond.
Give it another 10 days then if you don't hear from her and know where she lives maybe pop by - we met our photographer at his home and studio before the wedding so knew where to find him.

Must be frustrating as i bet your itching to see the photos!!! Have you tried calling her instead of texting? Yep I would do the same as InDreamland, if you dont hear from her in another week or so i would pop by to her office or home. x

I would leave it a bit longer. It is the busy season for weddings, better having a good job rather than a rushed job.
Also if a little bit more time goes by its another mini celebration when the photos are ready, you can all re live the day again. I know it's probably frustrating I would be itching to see them too but try hold on after all it's not been 2 weeks yet has it xxx
Our wedding day was a disaster, my brother kicked off with my husband and I for no reason so we had to chuck him out.. My parents chose to leave with him so he "wasn't alone" :'( I'm hoping that getting the pictures will help me remember the good bits of the day instead of the bad bits like I currently am so I am quite anxious! It's not that I want the pictures right now though, i'm more anxious that she hasn't been in contact at all... I'm probably over worrying because she was just finishing up when it all kicked off so I wasn't able to speak to her before she left! :/ Yeah she had an assistant with her and I have her address but it's miles away (we don't drive) xx

Sorry to hear about the incident. Hope it's sorted itself now.
Often photographers won't get in touch until the photos are ready. It can take a while, especially during peak wedding season (May to September). I can understand you're anxious but try to wait another 10 days before really worrying xxx

Weddings often bring out the best and worse in people. Hopefully it didn't ruin your day on the whole and that you have a long and happy marriage. Try not to be anxious it won't help xx
