Wasn't sure where to post this so thought this was the best place.
A lot of our families have dogs, however I don't want them to bring them to the wedding (which they're prone to doing for other occasions). Has anyone ever specified not bringing dogs to weddings before, or got another idea of how we can let them know not to bring them?

Are you sure they would bring dogs to a wedding? That seems very unusual to me... I would never ever even consider taking my dog to a wedding. I wouldn't have thought you would need to specify!
If you are worried about it though, I would just tell them that the venue doesn't allow pets as Nicole has said above.

Hadn't even occurred to me that someone would dare to bring their dog/s to a wedding! I can understand turning up at an informal family occasion and bringing a dog along but not to a wedding. I suppose if you genuinely think this might happen then best to ensure the relevant parties are made aware the premises is a dog free zone. You could leave it to word of mouth or I would simply put a note at the bottom of the invites saying "Dog free wedding. Thank you."
