Well we went out today into town and ended up buying our wedding rings! Matt got a lovely plain gold band as he's not used to wearing jewellery. I managed to find a nice thin band that's got a slight shape to it that fits lovely around my engagement ring :)

Well after a lot of faffing lately we've changed the bridesmaid dresses and these are now all purchased and paid for! Also managed to get the bridesmaid jewellery sets for £30 each which I didn't think was too bad. The dress colour has changed from lilac to a darker shade of purple and the ribbon is going to be ivory on the maid of honour dress :)

We also received our puzzle piece guestbook from etsy, we are so chuffed with it! The pieces are plenty big enough for a message to be wrote on them and there's 150 pieces.

We have agreed on getting my brother a hip flask instead of cuff links. (The image quality for the groom cufflinks isn't very good - sorry!)

My bridesmaids dress shopping went really well?! I must have done something wrong haha. Me too, I love it! The woman who sold them to us was lovely as well. She was telling us how on the morning of her wedding she rang the registrar to double check they were still coming haha!

Yeah she got engaged a few months before us, my sisters not that bothered about getting married I think she's just a bit jealous that it's all happening for us and we're always excited and stuff. I don't get it though cos she got a new puppy the other week! I'd much rather have a puppy than a stressful wedding! :P

Ooooh I see! I've always said I didn't want to be one of those people that is just engaged, I want to actually plan it all. THe whole point is 'engaged to be married' to me anyway.
Ohhh I'd rather the wedding, ours isnt stressful really! The only trouble we've had is with my parents at the start but that's all dealt with now. I only joined in Jan/Feb I think!

We only got engaged in Novemeber and booked it end of Feb, its all going so fast, but I'm glad! I really dont know how we've got so much done though because we have no money lmao!
My dads offered to pay for the venue package and constantly sends me messages about how much overtime hes doing to remind me ha, dear me! Looking forward to those stopping!

Hah oh thats the worst. I was getting them stuck myself and then my veil kept falling out haha! looked like a clip! I ordered my custom veil on Saturday and decided on a 114" even though the shop didnt have a long one for me to even try! So I dont have the picture of how its gunna look yet but I dont have a very big train so it will bring it out a bit more i think. Im so excited! x

We've bought a lovely big silver photo frame for our table plan, started getting ideas together for the invites and finally have a replacement vicar after ours left!! :) I keep badgering Matt about sorting his suits out but it's not quite going anywhere yet?! Anyone else got a lazy groom? :)
We've also changed out cake topper to two white rabbits :) Pictures to follow. + booked a caricaturist for three hours during the evening do :)

Sorry it's taken me so long to do this update, the few of you that have me on the book of face will know I've recently lost my old dog and it's took its toll on me, devastated would be an understatement :( R.I.P my gorgeous boy. I have decided to have a memory locket with a photo of him in it on my bouquet x
I've finally gotten round to taking a picture of our invite preview, we've only done the front as that's the tricky part and this is the end result (note that the white line across the front will be a nice ribbon with a bow in the middle and this is also missing a gem from the middle LOL)

I've also changed my shoes as I've decided the ones I originally bought are just far too high for me, I can't walk in heels now let alone in a big heavy dress! So I've got these beauties which I am completely smitten with!

Finally, we had our first proper venue meeting on Thursday and imagine my surprise to turn up and be given a welcome pack and to be asked if I'm looking at other venues! I quickly told the new lady that I had in fact paid my deposit for this venue a year ago and that I had a receipt to prove it! She ran off to check it and quickly returned rather embarrassed poor woman! The woman we had booked with previously hadn't left her any record of our wedding what so ever so she genuinely thought we were new clients! After the initial panic attack myself and Matt had a good giggle about it and the meeting continued with a run through of how we would like our day to run :) We have now decided on the timings of the day, we have given the names of the guests who will be receiving the complimentary rooms and we have chosen our arrival drinks, I can't rate the new girl enough she's been absolutely brilliant with us and has even given us some suggestions for ways we can incorporate the Xbox theme a little more! The highlight of the visit has to be the way she tackled the fact my dad was nervous about staying at the hotel. My dad is one of those people who doesn't stay away from home, ever because we have pets and he doesn't like to leave them with other people. After a lengthy conversation about this she has told my mum that she will put her and my dad in a complimentary suite with it's own garden so that we can bring our dog Marvin to the wedding with us! I'm so excited for this as animals are such a big part of who I am and to have him there to celebrate the day with us will be truly amazing especially as I can't have my old boy with me. Hope everyone else's planning is going well :) xxx

Yeah she's really eager and interested which makes us more excited to get the ball rolling! She's said she wants us to dress the dog in a tuxedo LOL been looking at them online like the saddo I am x
