Ok, here goes at trying to describe our wonderful day!

I did not sleep the night before, at all! I got up about 6am, had a bath and went down to breakfast at the hotel with my sister (MOH) who stayed in the hotel with me. While we were eating breakfast the makeup/hair lady arrived and started transforming me at around 8am. We played a selection of cheesy music and were dancing around and having fun with prosecco throughout.
Surprisingly I was really calm, and very excited. I gave out gifts to my bridesmaids and dad while getting ready, a few tears were shed.


The cheesy music was replaced with my brother playing some classical guitar which was really calming. Before I knew it it was time to go, we had a vintage bus taking guests to the church, which was supposed to leave at 12:30, but at 13:10 was still there!! So alot of the guests were in the hotel lobby waiting to see me before we left. It meant I was 20 mins late to the church.
I went in a classic Rolls Royce with my dad and went right through Camden high street, loads of people were waving and shouting good luck.

Got to the church and this is when I started to shake, but I couldn't wait to see my groom.
The ceremony was beautiful! Mostly in Greek but the priest translated some of it for us. They did play the bridal march but there was no other music, just hymns and chanting in Greek .


Everyone greeted us at the alter afterwards (traditional in a Greek wedding). Then confetti canons were let off, they were epic!!!

The reception was amazing, my brother played the guitar ( all of my mums favorite folk songs like dream a little dream of me and house of the rising sun) on my mum's guitar.


Dinner was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
and I did a little speech to mention absent friends (mainly the empty chair on the end for my mum) Our speeches lasted all of about 5 mins, My husband thanked everyone and said how beautiful I and my bridesmaids were, and my dad simply said "I'll echo what Leasa told me earlier today, everyone she loves is in this room" and he sat back down!!

The best bit of my whole day.........

I bought him a grooms survival kit which had things like marbles-for the one I'll help him loose, seeds to help our love grow etc, and at the reception he took out the piece of string, and said, your present said this was to help us tie the knot, so we tied a knot in it.

No one else saw this, he caught me in private to do this, and it was will be the most treasured memory I have of the whole day.
