I am in need of some urgent help! I am currently making my order of service which is easy enough. However, I am about to write up the wedding party intro page (easy) I am at the part where I write ' The parents of the groom'. This is the part I am stuck on.

My H2b mother died when he was 13 (20 yrs ago) and his father had married another woman for about 25 yrs (parents divorced before his mother passed away). My H2b doesn't want to write 'Parents of the groom' as he has never been close to his stepmother (he doesn't even like to call her stepmother or mother). We both thought about writing 'Family of the grrom/bride' but that doesn't sound right either.

Does anyone know of any other wording we can write that doesn't single H2b 'stepmother' out or causes embarresment to her or his family?

I don't think family of the groom sounds wrong but then I'm not really sure what the paragraph says tbh. You could go for father of the groom but then might cause issue with pushing her out. Or leave it as parents of the groom as your both know you mean his mum n dad even with his mum not being there you know she would be if she could :) x
