I really like the idea of having family wedding pics on display at our wedding. My side is fine as no divorces however MOH parents divorced years ago. Would it be awkward to have a photo of his parents on their wedding day? Anyone else done this despite the couples shown being separated/divorced?

Well, I had our parents wedding photos near our cake on our wedding in Brazil but they are all still together. I don't see why it could be a problem in our situation, though. You could ask your in laws to be what they think about it, if it would be awkward for them.

I would ask your in-laws. They might not want a reminder.

We had a wedding photo of both sets of parents next to our post box, but they are both still together.

Another idea would be if both sets of parents have re-married you use photos from these marriages instead? Or use the original one and an additional 2 of the later marriages, but personally I'd speak to those affected to see what they suggest.

Tbh, I think if they are divorced it might be abit awkward, especially if both sets of parents have moved on. Would pics of them not in the same photos together but on their wedding day work, like, mum with her bridesmaids and dad with his groomsmen. My mum and dad were never married but it would have been super weird if I had a picture of them together at my wedding especially as my mum has a partner

Ask them if they would be comfortable with it.
My mum and Dad divorced years ago he died after she was remarried, I have loads of photos of them together but she and her husband are totally fine with it. :-)

Thanks ladies. I think it probably would be a bit awkward. Velcro I like your idea. Perhaps I may just focus on brides and have photos of just them through the generations. Might be a good way round it.

I would definitely ask them, as it might be hurtful for their new partners (if they have them) or they might be uncomfortable. Or they might be totally fine with it! :D Just ask :) x
