Well the fitting went well. Although I have put on 6lbs, I have lost 1 1/2 inch from my bust, 1 inch from my waist, but have put on 1 1/2 inch on my thighs. The dress fits great and is actually still a little too big.

I'm not sure if I want to lose much weight now, as it fits me so well.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Just goes to show Michelle that the scales don't count for everything. Must have been a weight lifted to know it fits ok and is big if anything.

I can't wait to start dress shopping now that I have lost a little weight thinking of starting in March/April time. I've lost a stone and half in total from my heaviest (inc. before SW) so feeling a lot more confident and excited about the whole trying on dresses.

    Hey ladies,

So after feeling incredibly flabby and yak at the weekend, I decide to up my game on the health and fitness front.

I've started eating better and made an effort to go for a 30 minute walk at lunch and back on my DVD! I've lost 4lb in 3 days.

I feel much better for it too and can see a difference in my waistline and stomach. Keep at it ladies, you are doing incredibly well xx

Yay! My BMI is now ideal (just) :D
Still have a stone to lose to be where I want to be. I'm no longer losing 5-7lb a week it's now dropped to 2lb. Dr's have said my new meds can either make me gain weight or lose it faster, I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't gain any lol.

1lb off and my half stone award in the bag, no to carry on and get that stone award and Club 10 award, I don't mind its coming off a little at a time I think its easier to maintain when its steady rather than anything drastic.

So far weight loss has gone -1, -2, -3, -1 as long as its heading down and not up I really dont care.

I don't actually own any scales so don't know how much I weight! Tbh I don't care but know I need to lose weight and will be happy when I drop to a size 12

I've been doing bSD since Monday and do actually love it- sometimes I have gone over my calories but not by much and I feel satisfied with food and not in need of carbs or sugar- I don't snack but am having 3 healthy meals- my only craving is more fruit as I love it so much- I've realized that I've probably eaten too much fruit thinking it was good for me but all the carbs in satsumas have probably been worse!

Am away this weekend and will be drinking so carbs and calories will be high but going to make sure I try and not eat bread rice pasta etc xx

Why is it when we aren't feeling well we crave junk food, really not been feeling 100% since yesterday and its taking all my determination not to cave into the temptation of having a takeaway tonight.

stacey i do the same, always want to get a takeaway on a friday night as well. I work until 5;00 on a friday then i have to travel 45 mins home then do the weekly food shop, by the time all that is done cooking is the last thing i want to do. So I give in to the takeaway craving but chicken in black pepper sauce with boiled rice from chinese takeaway is only like seven syns so i can fit it into the plan x

I was exactly the same Flossie, any excuse to get a takeaway, would always have an unhealthy lunch, every time I went to any shop I would always pick up a bag of sweets or chocolate, it was awful and then just to top it off I have thyroid issue which was making me gain weight too.

You will say to yourself enough is enough and it will only be when your ready. This is my second time with SW and I really wasn't in the right frame of mind the first time but now I'm having treatment on my thyroid and know I'm not battling against my own body I'm ready to lose the weight.

I really would recommend SW as its not a diet, it is essentially teaching you to eat right and healthy. You can still have treats and meals out and junk food but just in moderation rather than every other day or weekend.

I really couldn't stop eating junk before but whenever I get tempted now I just think about what I'm trying to achieve and it really helps. I make myself a batch of nut3lla br0wn13s that are are 1.5 syns so probably about 25 cals each and they help me beat my cravings and if I have a really low syn day I can have 3 or 4.

Stacey, i find myself doing that, some days i'm right at my syn limit (or slighlty go over) and feel bad for it but then other days i will have 0-5 syns so it can balance out.

I've even found yself saying no to things i would NEVER have said no to in the past for example i went to a relatives joint 60th and 70th party and decided to stay at my parents house that night to save me getting a taxi back on my own. and whilst at the party i snacked on the salad at the buffet and didnt even look at the cake and goodies and on the way home my parents and sister got a takeaway and asked if i wanted anything (they were paying) AND i just ordered a side salad.

When you can see that it's working i don't think you feel as deprived or find it as hard to say no. especially when you know if you wait til tomorrow you will probably have enough syns for the chocolate bar or crisps that you want.

I've already done SW but got bored of it. I lost about 12lbs on it but struggled to hit my stone award which made me lose motivation. Although it is easy to follow and very flexible, I also started to resent being on any kind of plan.

I did hit that point where I said enough was enough in the lead up to my wedding and lost almost 2 stone in total but since the wedding I've just found myself back at square one.

Day to day I do eat quite well and do usually have healthy (or ish) breakfasts, lunches and dinners however both mine and hubby's downfall is having naughty treats and probably too many takeaways and bad things over the weekends. I've also stopped exercise as much since the wedding which I think has had a big effect.

It's just so hard trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm too easily swayed!!! I'm hoping that the lighter mornings and evenings will make it easier to get motivated and do some exercise. We are going on a cruise in Sept and I want to be back at my wedding weight by then which should be very achievable.

i think you are right about the longer days Flossie, I am always much more motivated and optimistic in the summer time so hopefully we will all stay on track when we get more sunshine (although that is also bbq and drinks season!) My losses slowed at around the 12 pound mark as well, i kept getting maintains and half a pound losses which was driving me mad but now i have got the 1 stone (and 2.5 pound) it's gotten me motivated again.

It always helps to have a good motivation Flossie. The fact that you are on here thinking about it helps. Makes your mind start to question things.

I have completely gone off the rails since being ill. I don't feel ill but my stomach is huge and bloated so I've been eating so much rubbish and cant fit in my costume to go swimming. I am really hoping it gets better soon because of my dress and also having to come to the realisation of buying bigger clothes. That's majorly frightening for me...

    Hey lovelies,

sounds like you are doing fab, I am also a yoyo er . I have dieted probably the last 8years non stop and not really achieved anything. Into my 3rd week of the BSD and half a stone down (bit of a bump in week 2) and really enjoying it, food is good but involved a bit of thinking about, and it really highlights hidden carbs and sugars you don't realise are there.
Skin is better and finding it much easier to wake up in the mornings so hopefully I will keep losing !

Wizbit- I am with you with the bSD- it does take planning and yes I have had a massive blip last weekend in Edinburgh but once you have your mind set and plan meals I don't feel hungry and don't snack- my biggest thing that I miss is fruit- I was always snacking on satsumas thinking I was being healthy but actually they have so many carbs that was probably worse for me

A typical day for me now is breakfast- full fat Greek yoghurt with raspberries and blueberries, lunch is usually soup or a ham salad and then dinner is something like chicken stuffed with mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham with green beans and a salad- if I have chocolate craving I eat a chocolate of hotel 70%!baton or if I'm hungry when I'm home I have a bit of cheese- I still have 3 cups of coffee and milk a day

Next week I am going to start exercising so weight loss should improve :-)

So big blip this week, I seem to have great mojo for a week then I hit a wall, I must get through that! My job changes Monday so I am using this as a fresh start as I will be busier in the office and have less time to snack and think about food which Is my problem now! I also need to make sure I am bringing lunch in so definitely going to stock up on making some soups etc so I don't cheat and go and get a big sandwhich

Although it is mad, I didn't crave carbs at all after day 2, a tiny bit of bread and all I want now is sugar and carbs its crazy what they do to the body!

well done on losses etc everyone

Lesley I am not diabetic either- I just thought it was a healthy way of eating- bread was making me feel full and bloated and yuk so I had cut this out a lot anyway but have also cut out rice and pasta and potatoes

It's a bit hard to get you head around the bsd- yiu can track on an app which is what I do and I was trying hard to stick to calories, however it's not just about calories it's about looking at the hidden carbs in foods and cutting them down to about 50g a day to,get the most weight loss- fat is good! Cheese and full fat foods in moderation

    Good luck Lesley
