This year I have pretty much done all my Xmas shopping online! I hate the Xmas crowds- when we have gone we have gone of Saturday 5pm and the shops have been empty!

I've not bought everyone's apart from OHS

Sent everything home to dads for up there and my dad keeps saying is that the last parcel? Think immigrate have a few too many parcels up there- means I have to wrap it all too!

Some beautiful trees!! Here's a pic of mines, don't mind the crooked star had to get hubby to reach up and fix it lol. I've all presents bought and wrapped. Still have to wrap Santa ones though but like doing that Xmas eve while hubby builds stuff. Just a few vouchers to get now and I'm sorted. Thankfully I don't have to cook as we go to my sisters

1 lose weight for the wedding

    2 finish planning the wedding

3 secure a nice pay rise at work to pay for wedding

everything revolves around the wedding I'm so glad for a break now its Christmas

ha yes mine do too really Stacey.

I need to stop brushing my hair so often. I'm trying to grow it a little longer and keep it healthy for the wedding but I think I have a brushing obsession which ruins it

I break up from work next Wednesday and I honestly can't wait now. I'm lucky that our office shuts down between Christmas & New Year so I'm always off then but my fiancé has to work but he has the 2 days off before Christmas Eve this year so will be able to spend some quality time together

My boss has told me to take the 23rd off as a gift from him to me, and has told me to work from home the 3 working days between Christmas and New Year, but he doesn't mind if I'm not really working, lol. I'd definitely get bored if I took the whole period off so that's a pretty good compromise. Hubs will be back at work for those 3 days anyway.

Wow Flossie, that sounds like a great Christmas present to me!

Anyone else on here do baking? I want to make biscuits as gifts but obviously don't want them going stale before they get them. How long will homemade shortbread keep? any ideas?

OH is coming home Monday yay. Went to get the tree today so now its in the corner waiting to be decorated. Looks very strange having a bare tree in the corner of my living room.

Duostar, we usually bake cookies and gingerbread for christmas, as long as its in a decent sealed container it should be good for at least 5 days or so, to be honest thats the longest ours have ever lasted without being eaten so probably a bit longer especially for shortbread. Most of the time we bake a batch every other day in the week running up to christmas then share it out with the family.

    FINALLY

I think I may have found my Christmas mojo.
The OH got the tree down and put it up while I was at work - although he left the decorating of it to me.
Its stood in the corner now looking all twinkly and sparkly.
Ive even managed to buy a couple of presents.
Christmas has finally started in our house - albeit a little later than usual.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

    I'm very excited for Christmas.

All presents wrapped and under the tree. All food for Christmas roast delivered - all the food prep needs doing tomorrow though. Hopefully I get it all done before church tomorrow evening - have to be there for around 8pm to make sure I get a seat.

Eeeeeek. So. Off gave us all a turkey fir Christmas. Lovely. But it's 8.5 kg....
To fit in oven I have had to take the legs off. Should I use post amputation weight or the weight with the legs on to calculate cooking time?
Each leg was 1.2 kg so makes a big difference...

We went shopping this morning despite not being well. OH now asleep while I prep everything!

I've just got a couple of presents left to wrap and veggies to prep then I'm organised!

Emily, did you sort your cooking times? I'd go with post amputation weight, sounds like its effectively a crown joint now which is what we are having. When I looked up cooking times it was 20 mins per kilo plus 90 mins if weight is over 4kg xx

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas

Myself and hubby went out on Xmas Eve and I chose my gifts from him. I got a mermaid blanket and a MK coat, he also got me a sports crop bra to go user my new pump top he got me as well. He then popped out and got me s few more things, a top and pjs from f@t f@ce and also some face cream which I cannot use as it is awful in my skin. I only use one product and I thought he realised that. Feel bad but I know if I use it, I shall look like a pizza.

Wow, that's a nice haul of pressies. Hubby got me two different perfumes, one is very very expensive and then he also wrapped up a gift box of M01t0n 8r0wn handcreams that he won at the church Christmas bazaar tombola stall that I told him to wrap up as one of my presents because I wanted it.
