Now we are in December I'm all for the decorations! Luckily I have finished my Christmas shopping so I can relax and enjoy the festive period. How is everyone else getting on present wise? x
I've done all my present buying, just got some homemade bits to make. Going to do some gingerbread and shortbread the week leading up to Christmas to put in some hampers. Today I've been making some paper pine cones. If I get a hence I want to have a go at doing good some other decorations too.
I've written cards that need to be sent overseas and I'll get them posted next week I think.

Feels like it's been Christmas in our house for ages. Tree and decs have been up since 25th nov and all presents have been wrapped for weeks. Just got to finish getting for the nephews then we are all done, unless I find more 1st Christmas stuff for little man then I may have to spend more lol.

We always have an artificial tree and went to put it up last night and found out the stand was missing which resulted in a quick dash to tesco to buy a new one!

It won't be the first time one of us has been away for it if he is, its just annoying not knowing until the last minute. Usually we know a few months in advance if one of us will miss it. And I love going shopping for a lovely fresh tree and decorating it. I'll help my mum but its not the same as your own tree.

We have a fake tree. Planning on getting it up this coming week. We have a slim line fake one as we're currently in a 1 bed flat, so don't have masses of room. Hoping to get a real one once we have a house.

We just have a fake tree too. An old one of mom and dads from when they used to put 3 trees up. Hasn't been used in years since mom came to her senses and now only has one...
First presents wrapped. Nativity up.

Woo hoo! My Christmas tree and crib are now up!
Spent most of today up at the church helping out at their Christmas bazaar. Feeling all festive now. Just want presents under the tree to make it look more "complete".

Mine is an artificial tree too. Cheaper, cleaner and easier at the end of Christmas to take down needing no special disposal.

I went to the Victorian Christmas at Osborne today. Wanted to go for years, and had my eye on purchasing a Christmas decoration which actually has a bit of meaning to myself and hubby.
The place we got married was part of the Osborne estate. It has the original Queens gates next to it and we had some lovely pics taken by it and it has the V A logo on it for Victoria and Albert. Paid £12 but it's sentimental so worth it.

I put up all my decorations and tree this weekend :) there was a live wasp in my decorations box which I wasn't too happy about, had to be rescued by the OH.
We have five presents so far, still quite a few to get but I do love Christmas. Just going to be me and OH this year we won't be able to make it to either families cause of his working pattern but should make a nice change.
Very tempted to buy more decorations but OH would definitely kill me, might just add them in one by one haha :)
Looking forward to making cakes as I always do. Love decorating them I have a signature penguin and snowman which I make out of fondant.

I've slacked on the wrapping this year and got loads to do, sorted through all the gifts this morning and put them into piles so that I know who has what, the girls are all done, need to sort the boys out with more though. Then a few family gifts and done,

We put our tree up on Saturday.
Tree.jpg
Got most of my pressies ordered today, just need one or two more things for my mum and for hubby.
Been feeling a bit "scrooge" with Christmas this year, we're in the middle of the legal work with moving house so we've more pressing things on our mind this year (and obviously less funds to buy presents!). Putting the tree up on Saturday did make me feel more Christmassy though and we watched a couple of Christmas films after which did make me feel festive!
Happily married

Lovely tree.
I got round to wrapping some of the gifts, so that's a big lump of it done. I've got the girls a full length standing mirror each and not sure how to wrap it or whether to just stick a big bow on it.

I managed to wrap half the presents on Sunday and they look fab under the tree. I don't want them opened now as they look so pretty.

You lot are all so organised!
The tree and decs have made it to the spare room, and to be honest right now, I'm not bothered about putting them up at all, so they can stay there a while longer.
My OH just isn't a Christmas type of person, and we don't buy each other presents - never have.
I wont be seeing my kids and family till we go back to the Midlands on Boxing day.
I haven't even purchased a single present yet - I'm normally so organised - I don't even have a clue what I want to get for people this year.
I think I have completely lost my mojo
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Going shopping today to try to finish the shopping then one day next week I will sit and wrap them all. I love wrapping presents. OH has done his usual trick of buying for his family and leaving them for me to wrap. If he doesn't get home I'm not sure how he thinks they are getting from Kent to Liverpool. Im not doing a 600 mile round trip to drop off presents. The decs are out of the loft just incase, I love looking at all my lovely glass decorations, maybe just a little tree with my favourites on :-)

Lol Julie, sounds like my OH, I sort all his family's presents and wrap them.

Finishing our Christmas shopping at the weekend (fingers crossed) and then going to start planning the food shop for what we need for Christmas and get that sorted next weekend/week after next as we break up on the 21st.
Going to be my first ever Christmas without being with my family or OH's family it will be very different for me for it to be just us. Should make a nice change.

Stacey, I think I'd feel the same, it's weird enough for me when I spend Christmas with the OH's family let alone not having either of them around. But it'll be a chance for you to start your own Christmas traditions :) x

All the trees look lovely! We're doing ours on Saturday, I'd love a massive real one but we have the same fake one every year. Christmas has really crept up on me this year, shopping is very nearly done so not too behind just not as organized as normal! Going to my mum's on Christmas day for the last year without baby, very strange feeling.

OH got an email a few days ago saying the main present for his 8yr old was out of stock and would not be here until Feb! Save to say we where not happy at all considering we ordered it months ago. OH put a complaint in and what should turn up yesterday.....yep that apparently out of stock present.
All presents are now wrapped and under the tree, baby proofed by the play pen lol. Just the one's from Santa to sort now and the kids stocking fillers. Don't have a clue what to put in them tho, youngest is allergic to chocolate so the usual chocolate Santa and coins won't cut it this year.

Got everyone done except my mum who I'm really stuck on. Usually its my dad and my nan that I'm panicking over two days before christmas but they were quite easy this year. Surprise surprise the guy who is supposed to be taking over from OH has failed his medical so I will be at my parents and OH will be somewhere at sea in Indonesia. On the bright side, when everyone else has the post christmas blues we will still have ours to come. 2 christmases is always a bonus. Plus no pine needles to clear up.
Tiffany, its amazing how quick these companies can get hold of something that was 'out of stock' once they realise someone won't just put up with it.

I was thinking a perfume set that isn't too floral more citrus thinking a budget £25-£30 - anyone got any ideas?

Try J0 M@1on3 for citrus perfumes Michelle. Love that brand - bit more expensive but to me it's worth every penny and it's super special x

Got all my pressies wrapped over the weekend... hubby was out on Saturday night for his work Christmas do so I spent my night wrapping pressies with the help of Th0rnt0ns chocolate liqueur! The last few pressies are being delivered today so will probs get them wrapped tonight too then I know it's all done and dusted. It's a nice feeling knowing I don't have anything else to purchase. I popped out to W@lm@rt yesterday to get some food and Christmas cards and it was just utter mayhem.... can't deal with it!!!!
