All I've done is brought a 52 piece pack of bay of e and I'm making some pots that will go on each table with the props in so people can take selfies/photos whenever they want.

I have no idea when to get wedding rings need OH to ask for his grandads ring first to decide what we buy.

    Thanks ladies.
I'll have another look on there and see what I can find, then work out what to use to put them in. Was thinking jam jars but can't have to be careful because of my nephew. Even out fish bowl centre pieces are plastic (cost less as well lol). May use my sons formula tins lol.

    Another question lol (sorry)
For our wedding favours we are having l£g0 soap men and mini Lu5h bath bombs in the shape of hearts. Do we need to do 'Do not eat me' tags or just stick to the plan Thank you ones?

I would put one just to be safe rather than sorry maybe you could put in on the thank you ones. So you have the tag saying thank you and put do not eat underneath.

I don't have a clue how you ladies are still sane after doing the seating plan!
It's driving me nuts. We had it spot on, then my step son asked to sit next to mummy and venue said max they do on top table is 8 (we had 12). (h2b found or old seating plan for the old venue which was a lot bigger seating wise)
On our top table we now have Mil's partner, Mil, fil, h2b, me, our baby boy, my mum and my auntie.
    Then everyone else wherever lol.
My mum and dad hate each other so sitting him with his partner and her kids.

Did the pre-wedding time lines today and our 15 month old drew all over it. I don't think he liked it lol. (silly mummy left it where he could get it)

Hey all- just wondering what flowers and table decorations you are all giving, just looking and its sell very expensive, especially to have a venue dresser but think this is needed for us as literally will not have time to do thus ourselves

I found my venue decorator and florist through wedding fayres. The venue decorator is local and is well know to the venue but not the "highly" recommended one but she is lovely and she is the cheapest I've found 1.90 per chair decoration!! The florist I found quite early one we went to a fayre in Nottingham which is a little further away but she does the most beautiful royal blue roses I have ever seen. My total from her is 500 and I've had 25% knocked off too.

I've been away from the feed for a bit celebrating my birthday but welcome to all the newbies. I'm getting excited that I'm nearly at the year mark. My fiancé has booked us a night in a hotel with use of pool and dinner as I was saying it would be nice to mark the date with a little pre wedding celebration.

I found a lovely place on Fb that are providing chair and table covers, centrepieces, a post box and a sweetie cart so was able to tick a lot of things off in one go. For flowers I have gone through the florist recommended by the venue - we happened to meet the guy when we had our first look round the place and he remembered me 5 months later when I messaged asking for tips about what was in season as I was clueless. I have spent more than I probably would have planned to for flowers (considering they don't keep) but we really liked and trusted the company so I just went for it and somehow managed to pick the most expensive bouquet for myself as I like the tear drop ones.

Sorted what to put in the activity pack for the kids last night with the help of my step son and the fb group. Now just to wait to pay day to order it all. Going to use the boxes as there place cards.

Created a fb group for my bm's to post ideas for dresses and shoes etc. So much easier than a chat group and no one can say they don't like the dress I pick either!

Re-designing the invitation inserts tonight and order of service. Then going to design the table numbers or names.

Picked music to walk down to, h2b suggested 'what's that coming over the hill' yet again . Finding it hard to pick something for the guests to listen to while we 'sign our lives away' as h2b so nicely put it and for walking out.
Frist dance song is going to be a nightmare to pick h2b hates the lovey dovey stuff and metal, rock etc is not my idea of romantic.

We bought h2b wedding ring yesterday. He wanted a harder metal but had struggled to find one he liked. We went to a wedding fayre at our venue a few weeks ago and a local jewellers happened to be there. We very rarely pop into our local town, we normally spend our Saturdays in the nearest market town as the children have ballet. But we home early yesterday so called in. H2b found four rings he liked and then picked one after trying each.

We are planning on working on the invitations tonight. We need to start printing and making the invites. H2b seems to think this will take a few hours. I've had to break it to him that it will take longer than a few hours! As he is only here every other weekend it will take us a few weeks. Luckily we aren't sending invites out until September but I don't want to rush. I would rather start in plenty of time!

My h2b thought the same Lynsey. He thought we would get 100 done in 2 nights (hahaha!!). It took us months, serves me right for wanting embroidery. I swear men have no concept of time.

Looked at wedding rings last night but can't find any we like. H2b needs a heavy duty one due to work and one that wont scratch. I love the wedding bands with a diamond band in them if that makes sense but not sure if it will be too much with my engagement ring.

Only noticed last night the printer is not installed on the laptop anymore (thanks to lo) and I can't find the disk anywhere. Really hoping I can get the drivers online or its going to mean a new printer.

Oh no Lynsey :( Hope the swelling goes down soon.

Had my sister (moh) in tears over the flowers. She loves the new one's and cried when she saw the butterfly in them. Butterflies are very symbolic for us both. (wonder if I should warn her the whole wedding is butterfly themed) Chuffed to bits that she likes them tho.
Told them all their shoes are part of their wedding gift from me so had a right laugh with my sister finding a pair for £3000 (they at stunning and she wont buy me them :'( haha!) and another pair for just under, apparently she needs both.
On a serious note tho the fb group is working a treat and it's been none stop bombardment of dresses, shoes etc where as before I was getting nowhere.

Hope the swelling goes down soon Lynsey.

Brought my wedding band at the weekend, had a shop around for H2B too but he isn't used to rings so found the whole experience a little strange but he did find a style he liked so not too bad.

We celebrated it being a year since he proposed yesterday and also found the house we want to buy so will probably be starting that ball rolling too.

H2B wants to try on some suits to make sure we get the right style, so we now have to see when best man is free to fit it in soon.

Engagement shoot and cake tasting in two weeks time, I'm so excited for that. Location we have chosen is a bluebell wood so will look fabulous for photos.

So close to the one year mark too only 388 days left :)

So I only went and said yes to THE dress the weekend :) so excited. I hate shopping and trying things on so wasn't excited as I hoped to be beforehand but the second shop were so much nicer than the first shop I went to and I went back the day after and brought it :)

Like many of you on fb I now have invites back on my mind I have everything I need to make them just need to make sure the wording is good. I had all sorted and then my OH changed his mind on whether to include the money poem or not as we changed our minds on where we are going to go on honeymoon!

Sounds like an exciting time Stacey. I have enjoyed seeing others engagement shoots and kind of wish we had something like that but don't think my OH is as keen

White icing with 4 large white rose corsages with diamond pins in the centre, 6 small white ones, lace and a single red rose (in remembrance for my baby sister). Cannot wait to see it on the day.

I'm getting so impatient now. Still heard nothing about the new venue, had nothing from the venue decorator so I can start paying and I can't book my cake for another 2 months! I'm stuck. Can't do anymore planning now until I hear from the venue, can't even order anything because I don't know how much they will want for a deposit, if anything (friend is booking it for us and is best mates with the owner).

Had H2B in tears of laughter this morning. I got up to a size 16-18 when I was pregnant with our son. I really couldn't be bothered this morning and just grabbed anything to wear, took 2 steps and my leggings were around my ankles, haha. Grab another pair and this time they stay up but he said I looked baggy and had no bum in them. Looked in the mirror and fell about laughing. Anyway in 16 months I've gone from a 16-18 to a size 10-12 :D. I could fit my boobs in my bra's twice over and my knickers look like tents lmao. Think its time to get new clothes (sorry if tmi)

Maybe you could call her up and check, it may be a distance cost she needs to work out which is why she hasn't sent the invoice but this is normally included in the general cost??

Been back in touch with my friend who is sorting the venue out and we have our venue!
Not sure how much it is going to cost yet but they are working out a package to fit our budget of £4000 (could cost less hence not knowing price yet). This includes a 3 course meal for 62 adults (2 coeliac). 2 course meal for 18 children, buffet for 150 evening guests, Drinks package of 1 welcome drink, 1 meal and 1 toast per person, Bar and function room hire, Table clothes and napkins, cake gift and remembrance tables. Bridal suit for the night of the wedding and extras (not sure what extras are yet). They lady who owns the venue is going to do the best discounted deal she can do.

Venue decorator called this morning to say she has not forgotten me, she is doing a new invoice on the new numbers (went from 200 day guests to 80!) and on the extra travel cost as new venue is out of the area she normally covers so we have agreed to pay the fuel for the extra mileage.

Bumped into our photographer last night (literally :O, I blame the wobbly trolley). He has dropped the price he was charging due to him double booking himself for our original date .We did say we would pay the agreed price but he was having none of it, we have it at family rates anyway.

FIL is currently in hospital after having another heart attack yesterday (he had 3 last year and a triple bypass surgery) and some tests have come back to say something is wrong with his kidneys :'(. Poor bloke can't seem to get a break. Keeping everything crossed he will ok.

    Hi Joanne

I booked one place to go shopping tired on about 8 dresses there found 1 that was ok. I felt a bit deflated after as I struggled to fit into a lot of dresses there so couldn't see how they looked on properly. After we came out we walked past another shop next door (D4v1d3 Br1d4l) which I always thought looked expensive. My mom and MOH said we might aswell look in there as we had some time to kill before dinner reservations. They had a much better selection and I seen one I liked but I was like I won't be able to try it on as I haven't got an appointment. We asked anyways and they gave me an appointment there and then they measured me up and got my size in the dress. I liked it but went hope to sleep on it as I promised I wouldn't rush into anything. Went back the next day and brought it!

It really is a case of when you know you know. I didn't want to take many people with me. I also tried to keep an open mind with sleeves/non sleeve/puffy/a line etc which helped as I ended up with cap sleeves which I didn't think I would.

Just try and enjoy it and don't feel pressured to say you like something just because others like it

    Hi Joanne,

Completely agree with Kathleen, I think being open minded is key. I went into two stores one with my mum and then another a few months later with a few more people. I wanted to retry dresses that I had tried on before to show everyone and just by chance the lady in the shop picked out one dress I wasn't keen on it but when I tired it on that was it I knew it was the one.

Don't feel like you have to buy there and then it won't help you at all, just take your time and enjoy it.

The general rule with wedding dresses is one size bigger than the clothes that currently fit you and when they measure you they will look at where your measurements are and if one is in a bigger size group they will order that one. I'm a 12/14 and the 14/16 were fitting me in a zip and I could squeeze into a 10 in lace back xxx

Now we have the venue conformation, we have decided to get a wedding car. I still see it being pointless them taking me to the wedding tho, as seen as all I have to do is cross the road lol. They also can not stop to pick us up outside MIL's as she lives on the corner of a very busy cross roads, so would have to pick me up at the church to just drive around and drop me back off again.
