Wundatigga how has it been 6 weeks already!? Time really has flown this year. I can't believe we only have 3 days now!! I would love to be able to send some pics but we fly off on honeymoon on Sunday so it might be a bit of a rush to do it, but I'll see what I can do! Annoyingly, the venue are now asking for public liability insurance for my SIL who was going to be decorating most of the venue - I will be annoyed if we can't have what we want because she may not have this insurance, but I'm just going with the flow now and whatever will be will be!
On a brighter note, it's my final dress fitting tomorrow! And I got a call today to say the suits have arrived so I will pick them up Thursday when I'm busy running around. Right now all I can think about is my last day at work tomorrow and how much I've still got to do! It almost makes going away not worth the hassle :-(

We are back from Vegas safe and sound - can you believe that we stayed on the exact same floor as the demented lunatic!! We have definitely got a guardian angel as we left Vegas 12 hours before it all started.

Once you get married usually you become a power user so should be able to post pictures - but you're account seems to be set up different somehow (as you have no ticker etc) so I can not be sure??

Not long now Emily!! I'd do anything to go back to that day, you will love it! We had random people having their pictures taken with us, and chinese people snapping us. when we walked in the bars we were getting standing ovations - makes you feel so special :-D

So, I was having problems with the chair covers lady. I haven't booked because she was ordering bits and would send me pictures of the chair set and the final quote. That was MONTHS ago. She didn't send me anything so far, just saying "I'll send you tomorrow" every time I asked. So I just went back looking for someone to do it and found another lady nearby. In hours, we sorted everything. So I've booked with her. My husband said I should have given the other lady another chance, but I just don't think this is how things are supposed to work, right?! What if she forget about our day and we get there to no covers at all? I will be mortified.
Apart from that, I think everything is going fine :) Need to finish the favours, but I will, I promise lol I also need to finish the bridesmaids gifts and maybe think about something else for the groomsmen as I only got them cufflinks...

Camila, it will be your turn soon :) I agree with you, I am lucky and not having seat covers but I think that if you have given someone enough chances and they are not doing what they say they are doing I would give up on them and go somewhere else. I would email the person and state that you are not going with her though.

Sooo, very good news for us! \o/
The parish Vicar, the one who said I couldn't walk down the aisle with dad, and that we couldn't exchange vows/rings, and almost made me cry and give everything up, won't be able to do our wedding. Instead, a lovely retired vicar is doing it. We met her ages ago, when we first booked the blessings, and she was so warm and lovely. So, we've had a meeting with her yesterday, and she just said I will be allowed to have everything as a normal wedding, and that I shouldn't worry about it. I'm screaming lol
I've also finished the candles production for the favour (yay!), now just need to box all them and leave everything ready. Also, got hubby's shoes today in a good price. I keep finding things to do now, like booking transportation for some guests that are going to the church by taxi, so I think it would be good to take them to the venue (I'm thinking about getting a taxi van, something like that).
But yeah, everything is getting sorted now :) very excited!

Hi ladies! Sorry I didn't get a chance to log on before the big day, but we are now 1 week on from our wedding and I'm currently sitting in a bar sipping drinks enjoying a bit of 'relax' time! Thank you all for your best wishes, we had an amazing day and as soon as I can figure out how to upload some pics when we're back I will do. I'm wondering where Emily got whisked off to for her honeymoon!!
One thing I'm hoping you ladies can help me with. I have a group of friends that I invited to the wedding and they were there all day. They left my hen do early as they clearly weren't having a good time and decided to get the last train rather than get a taxi back (which I thought was supposed to be the plan). Then I went to find them after first dance at about 9ish on the say of our wedding only to find that they had left (3 friends plus their partners). Now I get that they may have been tired and wanted to go etc, but they haven't said anything about leaving early and not wanting to interrupt my good time by not saying goodbye, and that's what grates me, that they've done this twice now and haven't even said why they didn't bother to say goodbye. I'm meant to be going to one of the girls' hen do's when I get back but part of me thinks why should I bother with them if they can't even make one day about me? Am I being petty? Would you expect someone to have said bye on your wedding day or at least explain why they didn't afterwards?

I had to leave my friends wedding early but I at least went to say goodbye, I felt really guilty (and I do again now) but it doesn't hurt to say goodbye to someone. Personally, if you are not bothered about their friendship I wouldn't go if I felt uncomfortable, however if you do want to remain friends I would go - not sure that helps?

Glad you had a fantastic day Loz. To be honest it's only polite and doesnt take 2 minutes to say bye! I think it's really rude and I would seriously be rethinking their friend status!
We left our cousins wedding early due to little one needing her bed, but we made a point of finding one of them to say thanks for inviting us, it was an amazing day, they looked amazing yada yada (in our case the groom as the bride was having a great time on the dance floor surrounded by people!)

Just wanted to say on this thread that my bestie and I went foe dinner last night. Her treat as a thank you for being her BM. she also came with a load of gifts. Felt like Christmas had come early! Got framed message saying I am the best BM ever, fridge magnet, a lucky silver sixpence and a beautiful silver bracelet. So generous. Then her sister also got me a little gift too to say thanks for all the BM help. Also returned my two hair sparkles from my wedding that were her "something borrowed ".
So nice that my help was appreciated so much. She ran out of space on the thank you card too because I did so much for her.
I'm so touched that she did so much and bought so much to thank me.
