Do V1stapr1nt just print sheets of paper? I have the inserts designed how I want them and the idea is just to print cut and stick if that make sense. On another note I've been coming up with a business idea but not sure if it would work so If you don't mind I'm going to ask what you think. One of my friends is a distributor for one of those wrap companies on fb, thought I might sign up too, the idea being I have a couple of friends one of which has just qualified as a beauty therapist (everything from manicures to waxing and massage), one who has just qualified as a hairdresser and one who is great with make up (she's a model and has learned from the best but doesn't have any official qualification), was thinking we could all team up together to offer pamper parties and/or all the services a bride may need in the run up to her wedding. Do you think people would go for that sort of thing? It's £100 to get started tho so bit worried about wasting money on something that might not work.

Mrs D2B - I think that's an amazing idea. You should open it up to the bridal party - bridesmaids, MOH, mother of the bride - as a kind of bonding party! I'd definitely do it.
I've had a very productive day. Emailed photographer, DJ and car hire firm. Patience however isn't one of my many virtues and I hate having to wait for replys!

That's what I was thinking, for the full package (available for the whole bridal party if required) I could do the wraps on the run up to the wedding, then my friend could do nails and waxing the week of and a massage the night before then on the day my hairdresser and make up artist could do their thing,, I'm just worried because we're all new to what we do but everyone has to start somewhere. That is productive fingers crossed you get answers soon. All I've done is watched films and booked a holiday lol.

Clients won't know you are new to it unless you tell them! I would advise getting some public liability insurance though. Definitely do it though sweet. Fab idea.

I have just ordered the ivory card to start making the STDs and invites! So excited!!
Have messaged the bay company to see if I can get discount as buying 6 packs of the red. I went for the pearlescent in the end. Called OH and he said just plain but I said id rather pearlescent so he said ok :D If the company cant offer discount I will just order the 1 pack as a sample as they don't do sample sheets.

How exciting!! make sure you post photo's of your progress!! I need to crack on with some more invite making but it seems weird playing with snowflakes in "summer" lol. I think one of the shopping centres around here had one once with a Father Christmas in. I cant really remember much about it though if I'm honest. I think you would have to go see the company and see it up.
The bay company messaged me back. I can get £5 off the 6 so will come to £43 for red and £10 for ivory :) They also said for £1 I can order 1 sheet as a sample. Have ordered the sample.. Can't wait :) Photos are a must don't worry!

Not been on for a couple of days ladies. My dad's house is ready to be put on the market and the news affected me quite a lot. My parents moved into the house before having my older brother. It has always been our family home. My younger brother is still living there. It will break my heart to see it go. I know we can't keep it there as a shrine to my beautiful parents, but after 32 years I will feel a bit lost without it.
The good thing is though, as soon as the house is sold I will have my inheritance and my wedding will be paid for. Very bittersweet.

My OH and I had a realisation today... we actually don't need to wait until 2017 to get married! Originally I had my heart set on NYE. Because of this, we have decided to go back to that. We have also changed our venue to somewhere just as impressive, but a bit closer to home... Beaulieu! We are so ridiculously excited!!

Evening ladies! How's your week been? I've been busy starting the new business (the link is on my wall if your interested), signed up to distribute and started talking to the other people that will be involved if we go forward with bridal beauty package idea and everyone seems really up for it, just got my fingers crossed stage 1 of my plan works first!! Wedding wise I haven't done much this week but I may have potentially found a DJ!! I was going to ask my dad's friend (who I have known since I was tiny) to do it as I've "hired" him before (payment with food haha) and he's a brilliant dj (I've never been to any other disco where the full length version of fresh prince of bel air has been played!!) but again I want him there as a guest so have been thinking twice on that idea. anyway the guy who owns the soft play center (which lo and I visit most weeks) has just started up his own business DJ'ing so will see how good he is in a few weeks time and see where we go from there! Has your card arrived Emily?

OH and I are planning to get married summer 2017 (our provisional date is 1/7/17). Have been engaged a few months now but haven't really done much serious planning beyond the provisional guest list and deciding on the church (OH's parents and grandparents were married there). Hopefully going to confirm and pay for the church soon and then get the ball rolling with venue choices - though we have a few ideas already.
A little bit about me: My name is Briony and I was a librarian for 8 years before starting uni last September to do a 3 year degree in Primary Teaching - one year down now and so far so good. I enjoy crafts and hope to do quite a lot of DIY for my wedding.
Seems a long way away now but I'm sure it will come round really quickly. Eeek! Looking forward to sharing the lead up with the lovely people here.

Just ordered my sample of plain A4 for my red card and emailed the seller as I would need 100 but they only list 250 and 500. Has relied straight away saying they can do 300 for me. just waiting for cost.

Seriously ladies... discovered something today that is going to be so integral to our wedding now that we know it exists, we will refuse to get married without it... an OWL RING BEARER!! Your right it does go quickly I keep thinking 2 and a half years is ages away but I've already been planning for 6 months and it's flown by. LadyC the Owl sound amazing but wouldn't you be worried it might poo on your head or something? or is that just me lol! Emily if you want to send your invite after xmas go for it, just add a letter explaining why your sending it so early! She'll probably be over the moon to know she is the first officially invited guest!! Just been to the bank to drop some more money in the wedding fund, it's coming along nicely now, keep going like this and I will have a nice amount in there to start spending in 12 months time :)

Right so we went to see our first set of cars yesterday and they were lovely!!
Me and OH had different opinions on our favourite R0lls R0yc3 but I said that he can have the one he prefers Going to see another company on Sat morning and sent an email to the third.
How do people feel the price is. £600 for 1 R0lls R0yc3 and another classic car D@iml3r I think it was. That's to pick me up from home and take me dad, bridesmaids and mom to the church and then same people + OH and possibly best man to the hotel. I didn't think it was too bad. More than I was hoping (I had £500 in my head)

I think it sounds fairly standard Emily, not researched transport much myself though as we're not having it. We were thinking of having a camper van originally though which would have been around the same price - and that's just 1, so for 2 cars I think that sounds reasonable x

Welcome EmmaM and congratulation!! Getting your venue and date is a massive step forward so your well on your way! Are you having a church wedding? If not booking your registrar would be your next big thing. Emily how long is the journey from home to church? £600 for 10 mins sounds like quite a lot but if its a hour journey your getting better value for money (if you get what I'm trying to say).

The overall journey from home to church to hotel is about 35 miles (we did work it out exact the other day but cant remember!) so quite a way really. Ill have a see what the other 2 places are like. It might be that that's fairly standard for where we are

Been having a bit of trouble tracking down the vicar (seems to be a busy chap!) but hopefully will be able to track him down tomorrow when OH and I are both off work.
Oh my gosh an owl ring bearer sounds completely amazing!
I am not sure on the costs of cars really. The general figures we had depended a lot of the location of the venue. Currently we are looking at ideas which are just a few minutes walk from the church, so I might just end up walking to the church and then the venue.

Doesn't seem to be :( I contacted the church directly to ask about arranging a wedding and they said I had to call the vicar to discuss things. I didn't really want to just leave a message on his machine but I guess we'll have to just go ahead and hope he gets back to us. It's making me slightly nervous thinking about talking to him - it's like it all gets real then!
