For the last 8 years I have worked as a Customer Service Manager with Tesco in their Dundee customer service centre. For nearly two years I have been working in the Incident Reporting Department for Injuries and Ill Health. Basically if any customers/staff/contractors/visitors get injured in one of our stores/DCs they report it to me and my team. We're in essence a glorified accident book (welcome to the digital era)
Before this particular job I worked in the online clothing department (F&F) taking orders and enquiries for 4 years from launch of the website. During this I assisted in launching the F&F facebook page and also answered queries on the Tesco.com FB page. Prior to this I was for a short time in customer calls for .com deliveries/clubcard/Direct and Store queries.
When I first started with the business though and before I became permanant staff I was in market research (again for Tesco) and worked in their Fraud Prevention department before getting my contract.
Other jobs I have had before now is I was a student from 19-22 studying Interior Design and Architecture. I worked from 18-19 full time in a factory assembling dried flower bouquets for retail outlets. 16-18 I was a student studying Social Sciences whilst working part-time at TK Maxx. Did a brief stint in a pet shop too at 15.
OH works as a Civil Engineer but before that he use to work as a Team Leader in S@insburys, before that a Tech Support Asst for BT Businness, before that a Bar Manager (which was what he was doing when we met, serving me drinks)

I have a dual role for a local charity that supports unpaid carers (anyone looking after a friend, neighbour, family member etc without payment).
I am a Carers Advocate for half the week, so I help any carers express their opinions at meetings, help them challenge decisions that they are unhappy with and basically help them get their voices heard, especially now that they have more rights under the new Care Act.
My other role is as a Support and Development Worker for specific wards within the area that I live. My main area is a town on the outskirts of where I live, so I have a caseload of carers that I will deal with if they have any issues. I'm also looking in to providing advice and information within that area on a weekly or fortnightly basis so trying to source a location for that, and looking in to facilitating a carer club in the area too. I also liase with the GPs in each of the wards so that they are aware of our services, are made aware of carers registered to their practice and push the promotional train.
It can be challenging and stressful but it is interesting. I'm doing some formal advocacy training alongside it aswell, hoping to train as an IMCA which will be very interesting. This is the first job I got in to after completing my BA(Hons) in Health and Social Care. I did it as a top up to my original foundation degree in Hospital and Health Care as I originally wanted to be a nurse but hated my placement (long story!). I worked in care for a few years alongside the degree which I loved and do miss quite a lot. I'm toying with the idea of going on to do a Masters in Social Work but funding is a nightmare.
H2B is a supervisor at TradePoint in our local B and Q store but is thinking of going to uni after the wedding to do something in marketing as that is something he is really interested in.

Mrs M Wade 2b - It's hard to say if you may have seen any of it or not. I've done work for documentaries and such. My last lot were for German TV though, so you may not have seen those.
My voice acting work has mostly been in cartoons (Mostly robots), games and also for things such as telephone systems.

I'm a keyworker in Offender rehabilitation. Trying to save some money to be able to complete the final stage of my training to be a Forensic Psychologist.
Before this (while I was studying) I was working as a mental health support worker, and worked a lot with young adults with Autism and complex needs.
My OH works in Customer Service at the moment but has just applied for the same company I work for, to be an Integration Worker in an offender hostel.
