Id like some guidance/support with something thats been niggling my brain for a while now...

Me and the OH are planning our wedding on a VERY tight budget, and one thing we were going to cut out were the 'thank you' gifts to family etc. Its not that we dont want to give gifts, but we just cant afford!

It really has been playing on my mind, as i feel like its kind of compulsary to give gifts on the wedding day. I wanted to get something for my nan and grandad as they have been a MASSIVE help with the wedding, also my bridesmaids. My grandad is giving me away too, so i feel like i want to get him a little something special.

Is it horrible of me not to give thank you gifts? Or is there something i could do for them that wont cost the world?

    thanks :)

A card with a homemade voucher in it for a nice meal cooked by you at home when you're back from honeymoon?

I'd make something if I were you. Are you arty enough to paint or draw a piccie? Or get photos of you and that person and make a collage maybe

If it's something personal they will appreciate it so much more than something you went to as shop and got.

I'd definitely go for the personal touch. I know my parents and FIL love coming around and being treated to lunch/dinner. That is more special than anything bought. Quality time with some love put into it x

I think that a card with a nice heartfelt message inside would be more than enough and would be treasured xx

We are on a tight budget too so I am doing gift bags for my BM's with little things in like candles, glitter wine glasses and personalised things, could you do something like that? I have got all of my things from the bay and it hasn't cost much!

I will be getting my mum and dad something a little more expensive because they have helped out so much but not everything has to be expensive, some flowers or something similar would be lovely xx
