Hi all, we are looking at getting married in NYC next December (2017). I am pretty confident that I have everything sorted for the ceremony and wondered if anyone had any suggestions of what to do after the ceremony? We are looking at central park for the wedding with pictures there and by the Christmas Tree at the Rock3fll3r centre so somewhere near there or somewhere we can travel to fairly easily. If anyone has attended or had their own wedding in NYC I would be grateful for any advice/feedback or recommend a venue? We were thinking about a restaurant and having a sit down meal but I would still like somewhere were those that want to have a dance can. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated , I just can't wait

What about hotels in the area?

That is a good idea, do you think it would be ok if we were all staying in the same hotel if it were in a room there or is that a bit boring -depending on the hotel though I guess?

I think that would be ideal myself.

Rock3f3ll3r may be pricey but they have rooms available for functions, but if you all stay in a hotel and have a room there for it, you may be able to bargain a deal with them,
What about the hotel in times square with the rotating restaurant? for the life of me i can't remember its name. only a short trip from the Rock3d3ll3r though. might be a M@rriot?

Glitterfairy- thank you, I think that in our hotel might be nice as well if it has a decent bar - I was thinking that a bar in the evening in a wedding dress might be a nightmare (I have a ballgown style) but in my hotel I can change for the evening. Rock3f3ll3r is probably pricey as I cant see the price!
JulieB11 that sounds good, will look into that one
Thank you ladies :)

I love NYC. The whole of manhattan is easy to travel around, it isn't that big. A nice hotel would be good. Or if your budget stretches to it somewhere fancy like Th3 P1@2@. The W@1d0rf @5t0r1@ is also lovely, or Th3 4 53@50n5.

We are doing exactly the same. And I am in the same position. We are getting married at 4pm at Ladies Pavillion (we have a permit so no-one else can have it :)) I have found a few places for possible receptions but none of them have screamed "COME HERE!!" Have you found somewhere?
Thanks Kat

ooo so exciting :) we got our permit but it is at 2pm - when are you going? We are getting pictures taken at the R0ck3f3ller Xmas tree after :) We are looking at getting a box at an ice hockey game but we wont have fixture details until July. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the team we want to see will be at home (my OH's team) and that would be us sorted. There are three teams that play close, one in Manhattan itself, the other Brooklyn then the last in New Jersey (it isn't far) Other than that I have no idea! I will cross that bridge when I come to it. The hotel we are staying in has a restaurant so that is going to be my final back up plan.
