I've seen this dress and I really like it but my mum or MOH or sisters hate it and are saying it's the wrong dress for me do I ask my partners decision or can you lovely ladies give me your advice and ideas xx

maybe put a pic up on your wall of it so we can look? Have you tried it on yet...? Some dresses i saw in magazines and then when i tried them on i didn't like them half as much in real life. What is it they don't like? At the end of the day its your choice what you wear so if you love it then its up to you. i personally wouldn't have shown my h2b the dress during the decision process but thats our personal preference we both want it to be a surprise on the day...but lots of ladies on here have shown their partners the dress...xx

I've not shown him I just wondered if I should and it on my photos I don't I how to post in the convo as on iPhone, I've tried the dress on and fell in love but they just are so against it and I'm stuck cos they are usually right but on this occasion I think they are wrong. Thank you xx

your profile is restricted so I can't see, do you know the name of the dress i could give it a google? Did you try on any others they liked better? What exactly did they say was wrong with it? I think ultimately the decision lies with you...i think sometimes people look at a dress and judge it by their own personal tastes which is what a couple of my BMs did with mine but its not about what they would choose and I know my dress is the best dress that i tried on so i went with it anyway. xx

Any chance you could take someone else along with you so they could decide? Maybe the others had already decided what dress you would wear and being a totally different style so whatever it is, unless it is that they won't like it.

I loved lace dresses in magazines but they looked a bag of rubbish on me, like an old lady lol...I ended up with a princess style dress with tight bodice top and large bottom made of individual pieces of tulle .... Generally most ppl end up with something different x

I feel your pain I took a few people wedding dress shopping with me and they all had different opinions and they all had different favourites. the one I liked the most got a fair bit of criticism. I think you just need to go with what you feel! everyone is different with different tastes and opinions, yours is what matters. maybe go back on your own and try it again and see how you feel. if you want to go for it tell your family to respect what you like and to zip it haha. xx

At the end of the day it is your choice but I can understand why doubt is in your mind ! If you 100% comfy and wow in the dress get it , we all have our own styles and choices and this day more than others is when we need to listen to ourselves more than others :)

I've ended up with something completely different to what I thought I was going to get. I have to agree with Welsh, if you feel amazing and wow in it then get it, you're the one who has to wear it all day after all lol xx

personally its not my type of dress but its what it makes you feel like, i tried loads of beautiful traditional a-line dresses on and never felt special in them so i know its not for me regardless of what other people think its your day not theirs xx
