H2bs mum and dad have just been talking to him and have said they want to pay for the marquee and food it's going to help us out so much. My mum and dad haven't said a thing about paying for anything and just don't seem interested what so ever :-(

That's great news, it's always great when you find out people want to help!

About your parents not seeming interested, I'm sure they are, I didn't think mine were then when we booked they offered to pay a few things and now they are starting to get excited. I'm sure when you get closer to the wedding they will seem more interested. Just keep telling them about things and I'm sure they will come around :)x

Great news about the in laws. I'm sure your parents will start getting more interested nearer the time. Maybe they think it's a bit too far away to be getting excited yet. I know that can be frustrating but try not to worry x

My parents seem to be a lot more interested than my future in laws too. We've taken them to the venue and they liked but nothing else was said. Maybe like you say it will be better nearer the time. x

Ahh that's sooo nice of them, you lucky things :) definitely helps having financial support.. we wouldn't be able to get married as soon as we are without a bit of help!!

Yeah I would definitely recommend taking them to see your venue. We took all of our parents (all 4 sets of them as they're both divorced, with 3 of them re-married!!) and it was lovely, was great to spend the time together as we wouldn't normally being quite a complicated family.. it might make it seem more real for them if they're able to see it? xx

I can guarantee that by this time next year at the latest, they will start to pay interest and want to know what's going on. Weird thing with all parents I think as they don't get excited until it's nearer the time! x

I think mine were more excited than me! My mum started looking at Mother of the Bride dresses straight away and my dad was buzzing to arrange our photographer for us! He kept researching our venue and coming out with random little facts about it, like celebrities who have stayed there and stuff haha xx
