Wedding Forum - My Tardis/DW diary 28/07/2015 ,happily...

Hummm, been revisiting my Fishfinger cookies and custard creme dessert idea, as the portion size of cake has me a bit worried, wondering as they are special dessert, I could make the cookies myself the night before the night before the wedding, and give them to the hotel with the custard creme to just serve up at the last min.

I've sent mine due to our wedding being on a Tuesday and the day before the kids break up for school, so to make sure people can het it off work an don't book holidays to close! Also have family coming from Australia, spain, france and Germany. If I did not would not prob send them till July (still a year before) because people start to think about there next years holiday then.

You can always do 2 lots , one Save the Date, and then some Save the Evening.

Ha ha the desert idea sounds cool; you should have just used actual fish fingers. ha ha ;)

Been looking at accessories for my bms and found these options

We're going to have at least a fruit cake as a cutting cake, but still waiting on quotes for our cake... might have to make it smaller and have even more cutting cake

What im supposed to have done so far

2014
January- Send out rest of StD's (mainly OHs family as given mine them already as have seen them) - Did not do but lucky due to change of date.

February- local wedding fair, try and find a cake maker / photographer, get quotes for hair and make up for bridal party, Get OH to as FFIL about whether he may be able to realisticaly make us a Tardis . -Going to meet photographer tomorrow, and booked cake just meed to put down deposit. Got some quotes for hair and makeup, but waiting to here from bms wether they want Makeup.

March - Ring up some more bands etc to get quotes - found band, talked to them today regarding size etc, and are all happy so sending out contract.

NEXT

April - Go revisit Wedding Venue to discuss, numbers, Deals etc - Already done, but going to go back with FMIL and Mum so they can see it etc

May- Finalise Guest list, order my wedge heel converse. and start trying to bling my heels.

June- _____ Dress may be here! ahhhhh!

July - celebrate and panic theres only a year , Meet up with my MOH and BM to discuss Hen plans .

August - Start Making Wedding Invitations, Make sure wedsite is all updated and set up for RSVPs etc.

September - Think about Honeymoon? :S - if we can afford it, may just have a mini moon and have a nice holiday next year.

October - Make Trial Bm Dress, get girls to try on give thumbs up, get on and make rest of dresses, Give notice

November - Book hair and make-up stylist, order Cake, order paper flowers

December - relax it xmas

Ahhhhhh Its my wedding this year!

January - Send Invitations, book OHs car, start making bouquets for bms, corsarges and button holes, order Sonic screwdriver for my bouquet, if I Did not get it for my birthday

February - Final choice of music for ceremony, reading etc order my bouquet, Go view Tardis, talk to FFIL about transporting it.

March - Go taste Food for wedding, return details of ceremony for officiant, dress fitting?, send evening Invitations, Organise the guys suits

April - Meet photographer, at venue to discuss shots etc, Draw up a wedding day timetable, Book a make-up trial session
Book a hair session and be sure to take any veils/headpieces you will wear
Buy gifts for bridesmaids / parents of the bride and groom

May - Sort out wedding rings, ensure have paid all suppliers , start planning table plans, make Junior Bridesmaids dress, and flower girl dress.

June - Final dress fitting, HEN and Stag doos

July
wk1-reconfirm all details with venue, finalise seating plan
wk2- Reconfirm details with photographer (dates, times, location, contact numbers),Organise for note or gift to be delivered to your partner on the wedding day, Reconfirm details with hairstylist & make-up artist (dates, times, location, contact numbers),Ensure waxing/tanning is completed,Have teeth whitened,Reconfirm details with photographer (dates, times, location, contact numbers)
wk3- PICK UP WEDDING DRESS ,Reconfirm details with photographer (dates, times, location, contact numbers) ,advise venue on final numbers, and any special dietary requirements,Arrange to have your wedding cake delivered to your venue
Make up the favours for your wedding day

Day before- nails done, guys pick up suits, rehearsal, make sure everyone knows there roles, enjoy dinner with close family, early night.

The day, breakfast, go check on decorations before guests arrive, hair, make up, dress on, get married! Have fun x

500 Days to go today. An OH has gone over to see his parents with a list of different things and how much they cost to see what they are willing to pay for. Seeming is my mum has more or less given us £3000 plus my dress which including accesories and alterations will be another £1000ish and they have given nothing. Hoping they will offer to pay for the band or/ the suits/flowers and rings.
Plus will tell her how much the corkage is and If she still wants to go ahead with bringing in her own wine or not.

I found out that Boots in Exeter has the Bare minerals makeup, woop, so am going to consult with my friend who did beauty at college and go up together and book in for a bridal trial, so she can watch the lady do it, and I can check that im happy with it.

Just booked my Entertainer for the kids managed to get him a bit cheaper too due to midweek, £125
Does magic, spinning plates, balloon animals etc so happy , no deposit required

I have about 20 of them so worth it but them my fsil has offered to pay for it so even better.

Got my edited contract for the band through today, with the added details I wanted. Just need to give it to FMIL to send back signed with the deposit.

Well I have just ordered my Wedgeheel Converse and have found someone local to be able to do some magic on them to make them special.

Also just sent the deposit for the Photographer . so thats exciting.

forgot to give the contract for the band to the MIL so will have to wait till see her next time.

I just got the call! My dress is here! Ekkkk! Yay!

my other wedding shoes came through today too (wedgeheel converse style). woop. They feel a little bit big in the toe, but im taking that as a positive as i can put in a gel confort thing in as im not used to heels.so booked to go up and try on my dress on my birthday in just over a month and they are going to alter the length for me as its going to my miles too long as im a shorty. and can try on some veils too. so excited.

Those vows are beautiful. There will be a lot of tears, especially with the line when you put on the rings. That almost made me go. Enjoy trying the dress and make-up. It's those times when I really feel like a bride to be.

Turns out I have now got my doctor who stamps for my invites, my mum works in the local office and they were going through stuff and at the back found several packs of doctor who 50th stamps wooop. Not enough for all but some I will hand deliver.

Table name and centrepeice ideas

Have decided that for the centre peices im having a double fishbowl with blue beads in the bottom with blue flowers about the edge, and in the top one different figurines of people/creatures/monsters inside looking out, then on top will have a polostyrene ball decorated as that planet,(if is described , or if not as I imagine) on top with the name of the planet slotted on.
