I awoke the morning of my wedding, not to champagne, butterflies and giggles but to a text message from Nicola Milns my photographer, cancelling! She cancelled the morning of my wedding! Can you imagine?! Nicola said that this was due to her "coming down with flu the night before and feeling too unwell to shoot". In the text she also said that she had "sent a couple of messages to two wedding photographers that she knows to see if they're free and 'will let me know' as soon as she hears anything" My maid of honour finally managed to get in touch with her. And other than saying she had sent a couple of messages to photographers and was just 'waiting to hear'...her only other advice was to "Google essex wedding photographers" Only after spending our whole morning googling and calling and stressing did we FINALLY find a replacement 2 and a half hours before she was due to start. She finally said that she had found someone to cover her. Unfortunately for us too little too late..! I will say that I'm fully aware that people can become unwell and personal issues can arise. But I can only share my honest experience of booking Nicola Milns Photography for my wedding and this review does not mean to be malicious or defamatory. I just can't bear the thought of this happening to any other brides!!!

That's dreadful. Even if she had a valid reason at such short notice, you'd expect a phone call not a text, and expect her to refer a colleague to do it.

I know right? Horrendous! Luckily I had an AMAZING maid of honour who kept me calm! Our videographers ended up suggesting someone who managed to get to me within an hour and was still able to shoot the 'getting ready part' thank god!
And the day was a success! I certainly wouldn't wish that feeling when I got that text on my worst enemy though! From what I've since heard I'm not the first bride that's been cancelled on unfortunately! X
