Hi All, We are getting married in 2 months and having a very small wedding (30). We have not got a dj but I'm not sure how to sort out the music on the day. We have a playlist on a laptop, but how will that work on the day, who is going to play the music for our first dance etc ? has anyone had similar experience and how did you do it ?

I'd check with your venue to see if they have any equipment or the music. Mine has asked for an iPod with at least two hours of music and they will connect up to their sound system. If not see if family members have something you can use? X

Agree with Amy they usually ask for an mp3 player with a certain amount of music time.on it. They should be able to hook it up to their system.

Although it is only a small wedding I woukd still se if I could listen to their PA system before hand as dome use cheap nasty ones that sound tinny and awful- I suppose as OH is into music I notice poor quality found systems etc!
We used a DJ for the evening but played music through a laptop for the wedding breakfast, through the venue sound system. Unfortunately on the day it didn't really work as we couldn't hear it, but it had been fine when we tested it the day before, so I think someone just didn't turn the system up enough.
