Our colours for the wedding are navy, grey, and blush. All of the groomsmen are wearing grey suits, h2b will be wearing a navy suit, and my bridesmaids all have navy dresses. My mum is looking for a dress, and we have found a lovely dress for her, but it's navy. Would it be ok for her to wear navy as well?

personally I don't see a problem with it, maybe she can set herself apart with the accessories and things? if that even makes sense i'm not good with explaining my thoughts haha

My mother tried to wear a white dress, she likes the attention but her friend made sure she didnt buy it. Her friend was then promptly invited to the wedding. LOL.

I personally dont think it matters what colour the MOB wears, like Danielle says, she can set herself apart with her accessories or a nice hat. :-)

yes, if my mother found a dress that she felt and looked beautiful in I would be totally ok with her wearing it regardless of the colour (maybe with an exception to white) :) i say go for it she will look lovely x

Yes I would say it's fine. My adult bridesmaid wore hot pink and my mothers dress was also a bright pink colour. Not exactly the same shade a s the bridesmaid but pretty close and she looked lovely x x

I don't see the issue. Personally I think it is a lovely thing as she will match the colour scheme and fit in with the wedding party.
I would be more worried if she wanted to wear a colour that clashed completely..

I think it would look fine, especially once it's all dressed up with shoes, accessories and jewellery etc... she could choose another colour to complement the outfit to make her look that little bit different.

Maybe she could have a blush hat and then she'd compliment the theme perfectly. Don't see why she shouldn't wear navy as aren't parents seen as part of the wedding party anyway?
