Are any of you having extra entertainment besides a disco. I was thinking of having a magician for inbetween the wedding breakfast and the evening reception just to keep everyone entertained, but they are so expensive. I love the thought of having the singing waitresses but i dare say they arent cheap lol any other ideas you girlies could give me?

i think for any kind of entertainment like that you are talking a minimum of around £400. it is expensive which is why we aren't bothering, otherwise we would have quite like the singing waiters! you just have to a lot of searching, there are bargains to be had out there like charicaturists, that would be amusing for the guests to take away an amusing pic of themselves! x

we're having a magician and he was REALLY good price! we got him for £400 for 5 1/2 hours and the others we questioned were asking for that amount for 2 hours! we thought about having a wii on a giant screen for guests to play on!

I was having a nightmare over this but found a site ...its on my profile the alive network one....If you put in your date, area and budget and choose from the many types of entertainment and then a list of that type of entertainers comes up with the price by side. Really good. I found a magician in my area who used to work at a hotel in Los Angeles owned by Arnold Swarzenegger (probably not spelt that right) the magicain is only £235 as he now lives close by. Im using the magician to entertain guests while they wait for the room to be changed over. Also having a videopod which is like a video guest book where people sit in a video booth leave messages and you get the video cds after. This costs £275 but not sure its available in every area. However one of the suppliers on here said most videographers would do a similar thing if asked. I have a dj for eveing at £220. Also wanted a caricaturist but really dont think my budget will stretch any further. xx

The casino idea is really good, went to a wedding that had a casino type thing inbetween....cant use really money tho, obviously due to gambling laws, but even with my pretend money i was enjoying it.
