Is anyone else making their own wedding favours? I'm making scottish tablet and macaroon for mine. I'd like to hear everyone else's ideas.

well i was going to make either cup cakes or butterfly biscuits but in the end we decided on lottery tickets, we are rolling them up in scrolls with a poem stuck to the scroll and tied up with ribbon my mum was on about rolling up some sweets, maybe love hearts or something like that inside with the lottery ticket but im not too sure about it x

I'm just putting my tablet and macaroon in organza bags. Not sure if I should put the tablet in something first before bags?
I think I'm going to get the little diy birdhouses and fill them with mini eggs because I love them so much. I love little projects so I'll probably end up with more projects.

I' getting married in december so I'm making gold boxes with burgundy ribbon tied around with the traditional 5 almonds in, tho each guest will be able take the name card holder, as it will be a delicate red glass bell shaped xmas tree decoration with our names and wedding date written inside in gold and the guest name card attached, they can each take this as a keepsake, I will post pics when they are finished.

I gave lavender bunches made with a little note saying thank you for sharing our wedding day x also gave biscuits in a heart shape with the design that my profile picture shows x I think when you do it yourself it's personal and a nice touch x

I am hoping to make the place cards as wooden butterfly's with everyone's name on so the guests can take them and hopefully s cupcake each. But I don't know if that will be to much cake, with a wedding cake as well x x

I dont think it would be Amy. The wedding we attended in June, they had bride shaped and groom shaped cake at each table place as well as their own cake and a pot of jam. It was a nice touch. A few of the more drunk guests got stuck right into theirs right away in fact. ( a couple even during the speeches, which was just rude might I add)

Im not making or really buying any favours, my guests will be sorta mking their own. Ive hired a party photobooth, which allows each guest a photo frame and pic and thank you message from me and hubby, i couldnt think what else to do, so we have the photo booth for 4 hrs, every picture taken is given there and then , it hold 8 people and has a prop box with it too. and after wards me and hubby get all the pics taken on a cd rom played to music.

I was going to make bird seed love hearts on ribbons as I'm a little bit of nerdy bird watcher, but we're no longer having a sit down meal, so I decided against it.
