I need some help. I chose the fiance of a fbil to be my maid of honor. Among the reasons to choose her over my best friends, there is the fact that she is my only english friend, so she knows about traditions, she is the only friend I have that speaks english properly lol AND she is lovely to me! She sent me birthday and Christmas presents about two months early, so I wouldn't stay without my presents! I couldn't think why not to invite her to be my MoH.
So, about three weeks ago, I sent her an invitation by post. I didn't say a word, because I was expecting it to be a big surprise for her. She got engaged last June but they never talked anything about planning the wedding. However I didn't hear anything from her yet and I'm afraid the invite got lost on the way from Brazil to England.
Now I'm thinking about talking to her on fb. It's not what I wanted, but what if she never get the letter? For how long should I wait? :/

why not email her and just ask if she got anything in the post from you

you dont have to mention in the email what it was maybe just say i sent you a letter did you receive it, if she says no the then you could do a lovely email with a photo of the two of you on asking her to be you moh
If it's been three weeks she should of received it by now. I would also suggest emailing her and just ask if she has received anything from you x

Like the others have said, just send an email asking if she had recieved anything from you in the post, it might be that it is just taking it's time to get to her.

He said something like "we have over two years, you don't have to worry about it, just wait a little bit more"... with 2 years to go alot of things can happen, all the people who were originaly were going to be in my bridal party and now not even invitied to the wedding.

I would really want to know too, but if you h2b wants you to wait a little while, then I think wait a little while, then bring it up again and point out that it's quite difficult for you without English speaking friends and you really want to share your excitement!

You may also be able to find out estimated delivery times from the postage service you used. Some places come direct to UK, some send things all over before they even head in this direction.

I would probably wait another week or so and then ask her if she has received anything if you've still not heard from her. You do have a while to go yet, but I think it's important to know who your MOH is going to be.. it's important that you have that support and feel you have someone to natter to and share ideas with :) I asked my bridesmaids to be bridesmaids 2 years in advance.

Heeey, she replied this morning! She said she got it yesterday, and she accepted to be my maid of honour. I'm soooo happy, cause she is as excited about it as I am, and she doesn't think I'm crazy for start planning this early.
