Wedding Forum - Loved it!...

So, over the long weekend I had my Hen Do where 12 of us went to Portugal.

We left around 4am (in the limo) for the airport and funny moment number one cam when 2 of the girls that were sharing the case had to take their case to the excess baggage area!! This was after we joked about them not being able to stick to the weight limit lol!

We arrived at our hotel around 1230 (after an airport fry up and a drink or few!) and couldn't get into our rooms until around 4pm but not an issue for us as we headed straight for the pool and the All Inclusive started from when we arrived so we were able to have plenty of food and drink. That night we went to see what was around on the main strip and had a bar crawl trying to work out our favourite bars. Every bar we went in offered us a free drink and one bar even dragged me behind the bar to make a rather yummy Sex on The Beach cocktail! Wasn't an overly late one as we were all shattered. I worked out the next day that I had done 22 hours with no sleep and just 2 non-alcoholic drinks!

The next day (Saturday) there was only one sore head and it took her a little while to sort herself out lol! We spent the day by the pool in the beautiful sunshine again eating and drinking and swimming too. The hotel was a mixed hotel so you had us, a stag do, families and couples there. For the kids there was a member of staff that dressed up as a minion and went round the pool ... he also appeared on my sunbed with me at one point, the girls hadn't even said to him that it was my Hen Do he just chose me as his victim! A rather funny moment! That evening was our main night where all 12 of us dressed up as Cheerleaders. Before we went out there was a Mr & Ms quiz for me that H2b had to complete before hand ... I got 18/20 which I was rather impressed with. For every question I got right, I got a prize, some of which I had to wear which included whistles, glasses, garter, knickers and shot glass and if I got a question wrong I had to have a shot, In the end I just got given shots as I got a fair amount of the questions right lol. We then played a spot of I have Never and then it was revealed that one of the girls had got some playing cards (with men and their private parts out! lol) and the challenge for each room that night was to get as many pictures with random men (ranking them with the cards) ... Was rather amusing! We met a stag do that were out in fancy dress that night too and they seemed a really good group of lads (not the kind that were trying to get with you, just having a good night) and we at one point ended up having a bit of a dance off with them and chatting with them in a few bars. This was a late one and we didn't get to bed until 5am. Was such a good night though!

Sunday we split the day between spa, shopping and sunbathing. A few sore heads that morning lol!

That night, I was surprised and taken to a Marina of a neighbouring town where we had a very yummy Italian dinner. Was so nice to spend the last night being able to chat and talk about the happenings of the weekend. During dinner the girls passed a hen do momento book around and all put a message in it for me which was lovely. We then started to walk to find a bar and then the girls stopped when they came across a deserted restaurant (I think it was only open during peak time) and the girls all gathered round my Chief Bridesmaid who revealed she had written a poem. The poem was about our friendship and memories and Mum had also got involved and supplied my CBM with some rather embarrassing pictures that my CBM had blown up and laminated to go alongside the poem. Baby pictures, school pictures the lot lol! By the end of the poem everyone was in tears, including myself and I am not a crier lol! Even my CBm was impressed that she had resorted me to tears haha!! Was so lovely! We then found a bar and had champagne and then went back to the town we were staying in. Some went back to the hotel and a few of us went to try out a cocktail bar that we had read good reviews on before heading back to the hotel for around 2am.

Monday we travelled back home but not after another stroll around the shops in our area.

I had such a fab weekend and I loved that we went from our crazy night of cheerleaders and heavy drinking to a lovely final night of chilling with dinner and champagne.
