I sent my engagement ring back to be repaired (because I broke it) on the 17th of October. I rang them today because I haven't had it back yet. They told me they sent it back to me on the 23rd of October special delivery so it should have been delivered the next day. She gave me the tracking number and told me it was at the Medway mail centre!
So I ring Royal Mail and explain to the lady from customer services the story. She tells me that as it's at the mail centre it hasn't been sent out for delivery yet! Wtf, it was meant to be delivered on the 24th!!!
So she rings them and the lady there goes to look for it and tells me she'll ring me back as soon as she hears anything. Three hours later when she hasn't rung back I ring again to be told that she's cocked up as she hasn't opened a case and given me a reference number, meaning nothing will have been done. So they have to open a new case and are now trying to find it.
They don't want to "try" and find it. They need to find it now!!!

That's awful. I was really anxious when my ring went for reshaping after I bent it. I was so relieved when the shop had it back.

Oh no, no, no !! Chase them for your ring or ask for a exact replacement. I would cry if something happened to my ring. I hope they find it for you xx

So the escalations team have rung me back this morning to say that the item arrived in a bag of other items and that all other items were delivered. They advised me to ring the ring company so they could put in a claim.
So I rang them in tears and she remembered me from yesterday and said that she should would have a new one made for me today and would post it next day on Friday so I'll be here when it arrives on Saturday and that they'll do the claim and that I shouldn't worry about it.
Cannot fault them!! Xx

Looking back, I was blubbering like a baby!
I am upset that's it's not the ring that h2b proposed with but it is exactly the same and I cannot fault the ring company, they've been brilliant. They could have made me wait until they'd had the post office claim back xx

Thats really good, I had a delivery company this week break into my back garden to leave a parcel. Got home and thought we'd been burgled as the garden gate was wide open (its notmally locked shut from the inside!). Hopefully the ring company can recoup the costs??

Yeah, they can put in a claim form to Royal Mail to recoup the cost price of the ring. So that will cover the cost of the new one they are making me. I was expecting to have to wait until they had been reimbursed by Royal Mail but they've gone ahead and made one anyway without waiting!! Xx
