I'm just so frigging excited I had to post in here.... On January 1st I can offically say 'i'M GETTING MARRIED NEXT YEAR' eeeeeeek!! (sad I know) I'm also just wondering ladies, when will you be sending out STD and Invitations etc - I'm thinking of June next year for STD and then Dec/January following for the formal invites?

Also wondering when you guys were thinking of hen and stag do's? Being in May I dont want to bulk up January-April with weekends away and more expensives when it can be used for extra or last minute wedding things but then having them in 2015 wil that seem strange?!

    xx

We're getting hitched Oct 2016 but with a lot of family working funny hours we're sending STD cards out in around April 2015......formal invites will be Dec 2015 with Crimbobs cards :) xxx

    Scary isn't it!!

We're not sending out save the dates. Everyone knows the date anyway as we are having a relatively intimate wedding of just close family and friends. We figured it would just be a waste of money. If people can't quite remember the date they can always just ask us!

We are going to send our formal invitations out in mid-late January 2016 - get Christmas out the way!

Not thought must about the stag and hen dos but I think 1-2 months before the wedding is ideal x

Oooohhhh CoralLeigh you sound like a bride on a mission lol!! Do you have you STD/Invites yet? I'm ordering them to be delivered in January becuase we also move into our new flat end of the month in January!!! xxx

And Flossie oh my gosh i know!! it only seems like yesterday we booked it and actually over 6 months has passed!! Completely flew by!! Only reason for sending STD cards is that H2b family doesnt speak a lot so dont want the risk of them bickering if they firget the date lol!! xxx

If we were to send save the dates it would have been at around the 1 year mark, maybe a bit sooner, so I think you're spot on there :)

I know, time has just flown by already! We booked ours 6 months ago too! Scary... be here before we know it xx

I've got y best friends wedding this August so I'm concentrating on my MOH duties in that repect - I must admit it does sometimes slip my mind to a certain degree - I keep thinking I've got plenty of time (which I suppose we have) however thinking about it now and knowing over 6 months has passed since we booked it is unreal!! lol, you pretty much sorted yet Flossie? xx

I know what you mean. I just keep thinking to myself the more we get done now, the less there is to stress about nearer the time. Get Christmas out the way and it will be all systems go!!

We have booked the 'big' things i.e. venue (obviously), DJ, harpist, magician, photographer. We think we have arranged transport. We've pretty much decided on everything now from colour schemes to centre pieces to favours and wedding party gifts etc., it's just a case of spreading the cost and getting the wheels into motion! We are going to start making our invitations after Christmas and buy bits and bobs that we can easily store like centre pieces and table decs.

    How about you? xx

Most def! Our venue has a 2 day wedding fayre January so I'm on countdown to that at the moment - move over Christmas! lol, then with moving I think the rest of January and Feb will be quite quiet then to crack on about March onwards lol!!

Luckily the Venue is supplying table decorations/centre pieces, names cards, table cards, the flower arrangements, DJ, overnight stay, meals etc (perks of a hotel I assume lol!) but we've booked the Photographer, Ordered the flowers for the bridal party (having silk ones), Designed the STD cards and looking at the invites, Live Band is also booked, Cake is decided (friend is making it for us as a present), Photobooth is also booked - we also know what we want favour wise etc - need to see whats going to work out best venue decoration wise though for the chair covers and sashes, drapes etc.

Cant get over all thats been arranged but constantly thinking - what next etc etc lol!! xx

Sorry kayleigh only just seen your post!

I have all the bits and bobs to make our own STD's (that sounds wrong lol) and invites.....I'm being tight and refuse to pay silly/extortionate amounts for someone else to make our stationary! Some on the sites/FB profiles I've looked at with our numbers would be around £300 plus.....Ive spent around £60 for all the bits and bobs from H0bbycr4ft and eb@y :P xxx

Yes Kel is right, this really should be added into the countdown thread. You can also discuss all this weddingy in a January 2016 thread if there is one, if not one can be made.
