I was really shocked and a bit upset to come onto ukbride today and did this advert on my wall.

I really thought that ukbride were better than to allow something like that on our walls.
Something so body negative. On a page dedicated to weddings with lots of women who already feel under pressure to lose weight and be thinner for there wedding, me included. And things like this make me feel really down.

Am I the only one who feels this way?

I can understand your reasoning, but also that people would be happy to do this to help them get into the dress so it also kinda fits, if that makes sense.

Like GF I can understand why you feel this way. The media does put a lot of pressure into men and women to look a certain way which is why I probably don't want much terrestrial TV or read mags.

Personally I feel it is down to an individuals choice what they would want to do with their bodies. Some people who genuinely want to lose weight for health reasons sometimes just cant shift it from certain areas (my problem area is my thighs) and being very honest in myself. If I was offered for free to have the fat in my thighs taken away... I would actually seriously contemplate it.

As GF said I can understand why you'd feel this way. Equally though some b2b's may want it. Each to their own.

I blocked it straight away and any others about losing weight. I'm not trying to lose weight but its just not something I want to see.

Lipo sounds horrible anyway - it rips the fat away from muscles (I had never considered the two would be attached but I suppose that makes sense otherwise it would all fall down and pool round peoples ankles). Our partners love us for who we are and the jiggle we have x
