Hi Ladies, I am not Scottish but my partner is. Although he does not have a family tartan as his dad was English. Our colours are Claret and Blue, and I would like the kilts to match but don't know where to start. OH wants formal dress but wants the boys in the casual dress. The BM is OH eldest son who will be 10, then OH nephew who is 22 will be second BM so that he can sign the register, should he be in formal. The twins will be 7 and our wee one will be 2, the twins are ushers and ringbearers and our wee one is walking me down the aisle, they will be in casual xxx would this look right xx

hiya, my other half is scottish, and everyone from my dad down to his 5 yr old nephew is wearing formal (argyll jacket) they have got ghillie shirts for the evening to change into tho. Most of the bigger hire wear places have 5 for the price of 4 offers on at the mo x

It'll look fantastic :) I'm Scottish and h2b is Portuguese and he's gonna be wearing a kilt along with his Portuguese best man! They're totally up for it which I love. If you go in to any kilt shop and explain your colour scheme, they will help you find a tartan to match. Also love that your wee one is walking you down the aisle!! :) x

I say have it which ever way you and Oh wish. Best bet is to go into the kilt shop and decide with your h2b what looks better.

All the guys are wearing formal wear although the will probably be I prince Charlie jackets and Oh has an Argyll JAcket. He is wearing his own family tartan and we are going to get our son the same one made. The other guys will be in a purple tartan to match with Bridesmaid dress, I already know its a choice of two. Most kilt hire shops do 5 for the price of 4.

For us we Have H2b and Connor in Lindsay tartan Connor will be almost 6 but will have a proper shirt and cravat on.
The other guys in our bridal party are My Dad, Best Man, One adult usher and one 12 year old usher. My BIL will also wear the same tartan as the bridal party. The will all wear a shirt and cravat tie.

It's red and green. Most places don't do it as a hired tartan but a specially made outfit Alan's outfit coat over £800 made to measure and Connors is going to cost about £150-£200. It's the Lindsay modern tartan oh has. I've attached a pic of him in his kilt.

Think it will just be the bridal party wearing kilts as most of the day guests are English. Although saying that OH has invited some of his friends so they may wear kilts. I am new to all of this Kilt thing, have only seen OH in a kilt from the pictures of his first wedding xxx

If you cant find one to match your colours most places do grey spirit which i suppose could go with anything.
