    Hi all,

I just got married on 12th October and have been actively TTC since 12th November (not long I know). The reason I'm posting is because I've made an early start with using OPKs (ovulation tests) and although I am at a point in my cycle where I should have ovulated by now, all I've had on the OPK is a faint line (which is technically a negative result) on two days (cycle days 16 and 17). I have had PID before (pelvic inflammatory disease) which was treated but I've always been worried it might affect my fertility. Has anyone else had PID then tried to conceive / had the faint OPK line on two days followed by no line??? I know it's early days and I'm not panicking or anything, I just don't want to waste my time trying and waiting if it's possible I'm not even ovulating!

Any insight would be appreciated! xxx

Were you on any contraception prior to ttc? Sorry I can't be of much help with the pid but just thinking if you were on contraception it may take a little while for that to come out of your system before you start circulating properly iykwim x

Hey hun, from what I understand of PID is rare to have problems conceiving after you've had it. My mother had it when she was young and went on to have 8 kids. So I wouldn't worry about that. If you are concerned the doctor will be able to make sure your OK. I know what I'm asking is going to be personal. (Sorry). Have you always been regular? As I can have a period one month and not have another one for up to a 6 months later. The doctor pointed pout to me that concieving would be hard for me. And as SamanthaA83 point out you may still have some of the contraception in your system. But it is early day so don't worry straight way. Xxxx
