Well for once I'm letting you all in on good news. I usally have a little rant and a cry when posting on here but not today. Well found out why I have been sick for the past 7weeks.
I'm pregnant!
That's right we are having a little button =D
We are a little worried though, as we have lost a child at the start if this year and I have eplipsy. So anyone who knows any good forums for mums to be please send me message.

Also does anyone have any good ideas of how to tell people? As it will be my parents first grandchild my brother and his mrs will be uncle and aunty, so we want to do something different than just to say
"Oh hey, we're having a baby."
Hope that makes sence.

I saw a great way of telling people - This couple baked a bun beforehand and invited parents etc over and got the Mum (it was her birthday) to find her birthday cake so they put the bun in the oven (like the phrase 'bun in the oven') and hey presto!! It was a bit cheesy but it was so cool!! I'm sure if you Y0uTu3e it, it will come up!!

There are plenty of great forums, if you're on BookFace, join Emma's Diary, the vouchers for baby stuff are brilliant.
Oh top tip, get a Pregnancy Diary, mine has all my scan pictures, photo's of growing bump, i had a Pregnancy photoshoot at 38 weeks, and it's just full of my weekly thought, names ideas, my hospital stays ect, makes a great 21st Birthday Present.

OH is quite set on one idea of how to tell his dad, step mam, sister, brother, his brothers lady and his 3year old niece which I do quite like: Buy 5 small photo frames in each one have a letter: B A B Y ! Give each of the grown up one of these to unwrap. Once they have and worked it out he wants to give his niece a box to open which is full of ballons eaither blue or pink depending. - thought I should add on here that they are all usally together when we pop around.
With one of his other brothers, who recently got married and has 2 kids he saw a photo some one did where the man held 2 bags of ice and then the womans top said baby so it ended up saying "ice ice baby" he wants to put that on a card and a scan inside but give it to them in person.
His other brother, won't be to bothered -pleased but not to bothered so think we are just going to tell him straight.
His mother I am dreading to tell... I'm sure if anyone has ever read one of my perivous posts about her you will find out why. I'm cringing now just thinking that we have to talk to her.
But my family still totally lost. Its going to be a fun day telling my nanna and grandad, my nanna will forget I said it after 10mins and my grandad will probably think we said that we are getting a dinosaur or something silly like that.
I was thinking for my brother and his mrs we could make a keyring each saying "uncle est 2014" "aunty est 2014" as they have just recently moved into there first new home.
For my paernts we were thinking of putting a little gift box together for them to open, have a little poem in there about how parents get promoted or something like that and a pair of baby socks or somethig and a scan.
What do you all think?

Congratulations!!! I'm on the last stages at the moment (20 days and counting - due 17th November). Have a look on Bounty - they have a forum and also you can get vouchers etc from them for mum to be packs (as well as Emma's Diary).
And try not to worry about things that have happened earlier in the year (I know, easier said than done) - but I know how you feel (had mc at 6 wks in February then fell pregnant very quickly again after that) x

Firstly big congratulations!! If you know roughly when your scan would be and if you could hold out from telling anyone you could always pop a scan pic into families Christmas card? Like buy a Nan and grandad card and when they look really confused and open it a little pic of baby is in there and the penny would drop :) I've know a great pregnancy and baby forum I went on during my 3 pregnancies,I will pop the web daddy on your wall :) xx

Congratulations! We've recently discovered that we'll be having one May/June time too! I'm going to get the scan pic and say "Introducing .... " and then the pic. But we've already told our close family, so that will be for extended family, and we'll probably just do it by email (being lazy).
No idea about any forums, but I've found "what to expect" website very good. They also have an app which details what's going on each week and what size & weight etc

Oh ... also we've bought an 18 month (July 2013-Dec 2014) diary and started writing stuff in it, as well has having pics of the test, and flowers that have been sent to us etc. We'll be putting in pics of the scan and bump when it appears xx

congratulations! makes the sickness worth it hey :) bounty and emmas diary are good ones lots of vouchers and stuff and forums are great. as for breaking the news some great ideas on here! with my first child i bought my mum a locket with "nan " on it and put a scan pic inside . (waited til first scan as also lost my bump fist time round) she still has the locket but now has a ic of all 3 of my babies in it.
One BIG day will lead to lots of little happy days !!

MelN - I'm getting tones of "morning" sickness get up at 2-3am then again at 6ish then carries on and off all day until about 7 at night.
LauraE - I'm on Lamotragine, part way through getting my dose increased to 300mg on the morning and 300mg on the afternoon to see if it would stop my abstent spells as the doctors all it, as these have almost had me knocked over by cars a few times in the past, and some other actidents but since they have found out I'm pregnent they have put that on hold. I was told that there is a 10% chance that my medication could cause some sort of deformaty but I should not stop taking it. Also I would have to alternate between breast feeding and milk formular to ween the baby off my medication. It could also end up with epilepsy.

We've also just found out we're expecting our first baby, due in June :) So far morning sickness was managable until today when my breakfast made a reappearance! Not nice. Ready salted crisps and lucozade are my best friends at the moment, along with n3t mums site which there are tonnes of other mums to be on there who provide support and advice.
We've told our parents and my boss knows in work. Im at the midwife on the 7th when I'll be 8 weeks so we'll probably tell the grandparents then (havent quite decided yet) but the rest of the world can wait til we have our 12 weeks scan which will probably be december some time.

Don't they have a saying about morning sickness meaning its a girl. Lol. That what everyone kept telling me. Lol. So everyone expecting are you gonna find out what your having or wait and find out? I was one of those who just had to know so I could go shopping for clothes in pink. Xxx

We found out at 20 week scan which has helped when decorating nursery and buying clothes etc. I'm just hoping they were right at the hospital now or else I'll finish up with a little boy dressed in pink pmsl.
Don't know about the saying regarding morning sickness, but when I was pregnant with my son I suffered quite bad with it - this time however, only felt sick but not really had any sickness (well definitely not as bad) and we're having a little girl.
One thing I have noticed though, is that this one has been more stubborn when having scans (not being in position etc) and now, with 2 1/2 weeks to go she's still breech and I'm now trying to get her turned next Monday (had a problem free pregnancy with my son).

I would have loved to find out the 'natural' way, but I like to be very orgainzed so finding out sooner is the better option for us otherwise I will stress out thinking nothing is ready.
By the end of the day of us finding out I had written a list of everything we needed. By the next I had estimated prices on everything and some things picked out, already had the layout of the nusrey sorted... I like been prepared. =)

Well I have my first scan date - 02.12.13.
We haven't yet told anyone on my side of the family yet, but most of OH closest family know, his dad and step mam are helping us out loads which has taken ALOT of stress off us, they are getting us a crib, moses basket, swing seat, baby bath, bummper sets, unsex clothes, 3 in 1 pram, high chair... thats all I can remember off the top of my head.
We have also decided on the colours and layout of the nursery fully now and have decided not to find out the sex.
