After my excessive dreams of a 6m veil I was thinking, if money was not an issue would we all have crazy weddings with outlandish extras and designer dresses?

I know if money (and reality) were not an issue for me I would have Joshua Radin sing at our wedding.

Would you do your wedding a lot differently if you had unlimited resources? I'm guessing most will say yes, but what would that be? and does it matter to you that you can't have a budget busting wedding?

I probably wouldn't actually change that much. I'd probably stick with our venue, even though it's super cheap I've grown attached to it. But I probably would spend more on decorating it.
I'd probably have actually gone to a bridal shop OR a dress maker and had one made from scratch.
I'd buy a crap ton more Lego and hire people to put it together for me LOL but I'd have more so it was a bit more extravagant, so I could have epic flower displays of lego and not just the modest ones I have now.

Erm, that's it really! I'd have what I already have now but a little bit better.

I would probably have booked a car, just so we had some pictures with it, but other than that it would have been the same. though i think if i was to say i really really want a car, i could find the money for it, especially if i get this alfred angelo bm dress for under 20 quid.

I'm more than happy with what I've got really. I think I'd add a videographer and maybe add a string quartet. I'd have a couple more bridesmaids as couldn't afford more than one.

Though imagine if my budget had been limitless at the start I might be having a totally different wedding as plenty of things I discounted immediately as I knew they would be over budget.

I think ours would be much the same if I'm honest. If I had to change anything it would be that I would have more of my evening guests to the actual cermony and a free bar. Ive been lucky in the fact that I've got pretty much everything I wanted

I wouldnt hire a wedding planner as I like the thought that it is me who is doing it but there would be a lot I would change! I would have my dream venue (which is 20K just to hire and eat! Way over my whole budget! lol), I would have our first dance song sang by Josh Groban, I would turn up in helicopter, I would be able to afford for all of h2b's family to come so no one was being left out, and I would have a pair of jimmy choos as my wedding shoes, and lots of diamonds! lol But dont get me wrong, I am happy with my wedding, at the end of the day I would like all that, but dont need it. The most important thing to me is that by the end of the day I am married to my h2b :) xxx

you dont notice the cost of a wedding planner though (if s/he is good) If I had hired one i know very well, at the published rates, I would still be nearly 2k under budget, even after paying for her.

I also thought If budget wasnt a problem, would have hired a musician to have played during the meal, and have a magician wandering around. Also would have a huge bouncy castle!!!

@ Tsukijin an elephant! That would be a sight to see.

There are plenty of people that if they showed up at my wedding would be shown the only one direction they would be welcome to go, in.

Back to the topic, I would also choreograph the first dance professionally.

I have hired wedding planners just for decorating the venue because it was stressing me out too much and I've got too much on my plate right now. Ceremony and reception fully decorated they come in the morning to set up and return the next day to collect. All that for £795.

If I had an unlimited budget I would have Manolo Blahnik Something Blues for the ceremony, Jimmy Choos for the Wedding Breakfast and Christian Louboutins for the party. I'd have a different dress for the party, as shorter one to aid my dancing. Most importantly a free bar!!!

    I can't wait until 29/06/2013

I would fly my brother, his wife and my niece and nephew over from Dubai for the wedding. I'd book Enrique Iglesias singing all night. I'd have 2 white doves to release. I'd wear Jimmy Choos shoes, and Claire Pettibone dress. I'd hire an icecream van and a photobooth for the whole day. I'd still get married in Gretna Green with just my close family and friends, but I'd have a huge party when we came home for everyone, I have a massive family and huge amount of friends so would be nice to have a party for them all to come to. I'd still have the week in Scotland, coz I love it there, but I'd also go to the Maldives and then Hawaii too :)) Ohh to have an endless supply of cash

A full choir and chamber orchestra for the Church ceremony. The London Symphony Orchestra for the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Gina shoes or Choos for my wedding shoes. Give H2B the open bar he so desires for our guests and a chocolate fountain. Fly all the family who wants to come over from Malaysia. First class all the way and back for honeymoon.

    A girl can dream.

I dont know what id change really id keep the same church, diff hotel though one right next to the sea so we could have nice piccys taken down on the beach, the room id have all white swagging around the room with fairy lights and big chandelighs hanging from the ceiling, Chandeligh's or lillys in tall vases as table centre pieces.
Fancy wedding cars for me & bridal party then a old fashioned double decker bus to take guests from church to reception venue.
3 course meal with welcome drink & drinks with meal.
Rooms at the hotel for all the bridal party and hair /make up for them all.
Id still keep the same dress but Id love a pair of louis vuitton shoes as my wedding shoes (bit like ones shes gets in the film burlesque - i think it is).
Have a luxurious honeymoon somewhere like the maldives!

Does the hen night count too?? if so id deff have Ryan Renolds as my stripper ;) hahaha.

Our venue is in a massive park which also holds another venue (a big stately home) - if money wasn't an issue, I would definitely hire a room in the other venue to get married in (instead of the registry office) and then we could all walk over to the reception venue. I'd also hire a band for the evening :-)

I'd love Foo Fighters to play at the reception! We would also have all h2b's best friends as Ushers, they grew up together and are really close and I love them all but we couldn't justify paying for another 4 suits, and didn't want to ask them to pay for them either.

I would also have flowers in every corner, all fragrant and large elegant displays! I know I won't be able to afford them :( x

I would have a free bar and be able to invite my extended family who I would really like to be there, but too much money. Venue wise I would prob go for something with breath taking views, a country hotel somewhere remote and pay for everyone to stay there and the surrounding accommodation too. Oh and coashes to transport everyone
