Hey welcome, thats the date i was originaly looking at as i wanted as close to 12th as we could be , but due to money constraints had to change to a midweek and then settled on 21st due to it being the same as my grandparents wedding date, and being 12 backwards and being right at end of the school terms to minimise liklyhood of no shows of parents etc with kids with the new fines for kids in school!

together, May 2010 Moved in,Jan 2011 got pregnant,
August 2011 Got our own place, 2011 Had our Baby Girl,

We choose ours a bit random by adding up house numbers where we lived and dividing by years we would be together in 2015 and got the 11th . Also my my gran birthday but sadly she died 2 years before I was born from cancer and was quite young so that date would be extra special .
Only thing my H2B really wanted was it outside the football season so I thought why not allow him that lol

We originally had 17th June 2016 as would be our 10 years together to the day, but we want to get married sooner now! The 21 st is my bitrthday :-) so didnt want it too close to that really!!!
Since I been off here I have booked my photographer, emailed the vicar & spoken to our reception venue and hopefully going to look round it on Saturday!!!!! Exciting!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm getting married on the 25th July 2015! Looks as if I'm the only one on this thread though, I want a date buddy!! :) Looks like you're all pretty well prepared- I have my venue booked, my dress ordered, and bridesmaids/best men etc all informed and very excited :) I just wish it was closer so I could get on with it and arrange more! Im on the 21st july 2015, which is a tuesday and the same date my gran and grandad got married on! I got part 1 of my wedding cake topper through the other week! yay! now I just need the tardis part, hoping someone will get me it for xmas, thats part of the reason I love my theme, all the cool things we buy for it, we can keep and enjoy after!

Lana - I never used to 'get' Dr Who but my 5 year old LOVES it so, being the wonderful mummy I am, I sat down and watched them with him. OH. MY. GOD. I love Dr Who! How have I missed out on it for so long! On my wonderings through town lately I saw a very Dr-esque suit and a tardis cake - it was awesome. I'm now well jel of your theme lol.

well thanks alot sweetie, we were orriginaly going to have a rainbow theme, but oh was just like whatever you want, its your day, i then mentioned a WHO wedding and at first I think he did not take me seriously but when I mentioned ideas for this and that, he totaly was like oh shes actually being serious and it sound so cool. So we're both excited about it now and hes come up with ideas for some table centre peices. table names etc

Im getting married 4th July 2015. I was going to be a May bride, as we fancied a venue which were cheaper on Sundays, even on a bank holiday, so was going to have a BH wedding, but the wedding co-ordinator was so awful it really put us off. So we went out venue shopping again and fell head over heels in love with our current choice. Their BH sundays are the same as a Saturday, so we thought blow it, lets have a summer wedding on a Saturday if its going to be the same price! And OBVIOUSLY July is just the better month anyway :p
I hope you can all inspire me to get busy. Mrs H - I am amazed (and also a bit depressed! , ha!) looking at what you've done so far!
Going to try on some dresses this afternoon, so fingers crossed. It is sale season too! ;)

I didn't have much luck. I tried on a couple but one was to placate my mother, who has great taste (if your wedding is in 1984), and the other one was just not right.
I went on a website earlier and found my ideal shape for a wedding dress. The site said I would be best in a mermaid, so I tried one on- but it was just awful!
Off out tomorrow with MOH and the mother to try some more on. Hopefully I can keep her quiet in the corner and not get too involved! x

Maybe you should try going with just your MOH, Try to keep a open mind, and ask the shop ladies to bring you a range of different dresses they think will suit you. what you like in mags does not always suit, my dream dress was very lacey and poofy, but have ended up with a Beautiful Satin number (its on my diary thread if you wana look) and was not at all what I thought I would like, eugh no I would say if I saw it in a mag, to plain jane, to boring, but when the lady suggested it I said may aswell try to rule it out. and the second I saw it in the mirror, was in love! x Even if you look at it and think not in a million years, just try it even for something to laugh about, but it may surprise you .

We booked 2 weeks after we got engaged in 2010 but the venue really screwed us over with money in 2011 so had to cancel, plus my cousin booked her wedding 6 days before ours !! Grrrr !! We then had a lot of issues to work through in 2011 which we finally did, then decided in 2012 to save up for a holiday before getting into wedding stuff again, took us 16 months to save for that.. We really needed the excitement of looking forward to time away and really needed time away to ourselves with no interferences from the mother of his youngest son - she was the main issue.. Anyhoo !! Now we're happier and stronger than ever and counting down the days !!! If you ever need any help feel free to message me on here :-) xxx

Well today was an experience. MOH and my mom have got very different styles, so between 3 of us, I must have tried on 15 dresses today. I am shattered now!
A few weeks ago, I had a good old Google, and found 5 dresses I LOVED. I managed to try one on today, and it was amazing. I really, really felt wonderful in it. It might well be the one!
Feel a bit unsure, as its very similar to my MOH' s dress from her wedding 5 years ago (although nobody would remember ;)), and my mom wasn't keen. She said I looked ok, but nothing amazing. I know Im the one wearing it, but it didnt help my decision... She had me in a gigantic tulle princess dress, which was wonderful, but literally was so big I'd feel self conscious all day.
Anyone else dress shopping and having a nightmare? There are so many that are lovely, but not right. I am soooo fussy and also very indecisive, so it could take some time :-/

Ladies- I have found THE DRESS! I am so excited I could squeal! haha!
After yesterdays nightmare, I went back to the ones I had found online, and thought about how much Id like to find them in the flesh - especially one. So thought I'd start off with that one first. I rang a few shops, and they said it wasn't in season anymore and they had none.
Then I rang one store and they had it. I arranged to go and try it on this morning with my mom and MOH and we all just loved it. Its the first one Ive tried on that everyone liked too!
It has motif on the hip which has a similar colour beads to my engagement ring (chocolate diamonds), and its just everything I wanted in a dress. Im so pleased - finally!!!
I have no idea how to add pictures, but I will try :)
