im gettin married as well on 28th July, getting married in sri lanka but having a church weddiotel. then having the reception, just having an english weddin g but in a warmer place :-) I ahve the church, venue, invite, cars,hair and make up done. really need to sort out the dress but really struggling to find one that i really want.

ooooh same day as me chubblywubbly! We have venue, registrar and notice done, dj and harpist, photographer done (catering, chair covers, toastmaster in with our package) Dress nearly sorted. Hen party being organised around me. Just need to actually invite people lol

Don't panic! I've only done this much as ive been trying to do everything in the school hols. There's loads of time left, there's just not loads of school hol time left because you can never get anything done over Christmas

We are aiming for July 5th 2012... inlaws are coming later this week and as we want to have our reception at their house, we want to make sure it's okay before announcing the date. Should be okay, but we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, just in case we can't have that exact date!

So far we have sorted my dress, my shoes, wedding rings. We have pretty much everything decided, just waiting on the inlaws' go ahead, so once we've got that it will truly be all systems go. We're making our own invites, which will be getting started as SOON as I have confirmation on our date! I have already picked out the BM dresses and they are being ordered in October, as will the rest of the things I need for centerpieces (I have half arriving on Sept 15th) and other bits and bobs.

It's strange, I feel both extremely organised but also disorganised - once we have a bit more booked, in progress and paid for I'll feel properly organised.

I'm like that mrs omand2b .... I keep saying we have ages but really its only 10 months arghhhhhhhhhhh so excited I fell i have got a lots done venue, catering, dj, photographer, music, cake i have picked the bm dresses getting them next week, spoke to a few florists and found the suits just not got them yet.

Hi ladies - Had a meeting with our wedding coordinator at the hotel last night and got loads sorted lol. She said she's never had a bride so organised lol...Oops!

my shoes arrived today too. they're a little big so gonna try them with an insole before taking them back cos i've searched high and low for these and don't want to risk not being able to get a smaller size. or i'll stuff them with tissue! lol

Hi We're the 5th July 2012 and can't wait. So far we have booked the venue, wedding night accommodation, cars, photographer, got my dress shoes veil tiara n shoes, put deposit down on bridesmaid dresses although they are being changed as MOH has changed her mind n doesn't know wat she wnts, grooms outfit bought, minister booked, cake ordered, website set up for guests to view, invites made, save the dates sent and think thts all so far. Still feels lyk hundreds to do as H2B away until January with the Navy so busy wee me xx

Hey Future Mrs Henderson, we're date buddies!

H2b's parents left yesterday and we are all okayed for the 5th July 2012! MILb says the place we wanted for our ceremony venue is fine, all we have to do is get permission to use it from the mayor of the village, and it's unlikely we'll have to pay for it as the land is not officially owned by anyone. SO that's sorted and we're now on the lookout for an events hire company for seating. All I have to do now is make our altar decorations which I am already looking into so almost done there. We're having the legal ceremony here, flying out to Spain and having a blessing in Spain to beat the paperwork issues - so we're going to give notice this month and we already have our witnesses! MIL is also going to have a look around the ceremony site and send me some pictures so I can better plan the ceremony and altar etc.

We also have our reception venue, MIL and FIL to be are thrilled that we want to use their home and MIL-to-be says it will be no problem whatsoever to manage and she has a friend in the party planning business so that's another thing we're looking into. So that's the reception venue done, we also decided that we're keeping the menu options to traditional Spanish dishes, so we're having two kinds of paella (meat and veggie), cheese tortilla and lots of sangria!

Have my MOH coming and we're hopefully having our save-the-date photoshoot done on the 15th, so I can get the invites out by the end of this month.

Can't believe we finally have a date, a real official date. I also showed my MOH the BM dress choices and she liked them, so going to give the other girls the options soon! Feels like we've gone from having next to nothing sorted, to having almost everything in the works!

It's amazing how everything starts fall into place eh. We can't give notice of the wedding and get our licence until Barry gets home which isn't until 20th January however i think i'll get all the paperwork ready so all he needs to do is sign it. Nxt plan is to get bridesmaids outfits finalised as thy are doing my head in big time lol xx

We getting married July 6th :) booking the venue this week and maybe ordering my dress today ooooooh got a band we going to see next weekend and might book got a dj and got a meeting with florist friday :) just waiting for HIM to choose invites lol its his only job :) x

I ordered my dress on sat! My h2bs job is the music. So far he's done brilliantly

Its the Maggie sottero Adelaide. One of the 2 that I short listed. Its really flattering on me. Even my mum commented I looked slim in it and that never happens. Only problem now is keeping it a secret. I never really believed that you knew your dress as soon as you put it on but it's true lol

I'm not over excited though. Just glad it's another job done!

Morning all :)

Got talking with h2b last night, about the wedding. We were having a chat about our legal ceremony here in the UK, which we're doing either the day we fly or the day before. Next thing I know h2b is saying that he thinks I should get myself a proper dress for it (I was planning on just wearing something I already have) but he says that it wouldn't feel the same if I don't have a white dress on. So we've agreed I'm saving my The One dress for Spain, and get to have another one for the UK ceremony. He's also decided he wants more personal wedding rings - not yet decided whether that will be customizing the rings we already have, or buying new ones... but he's really getting into it now. And we're going shopping to look for his suit on the 15th :)

bridesmaid dresses- BROUGHT!!!! WHOOOOOO sooo excited now!!!

Okay, I am really bad. Like, insanely bad. But I went looking for a UK dress, and found one I like better than the dress I already have.

So what I am going to do is buy the one I've found, hide it... and then surprise h2b by wearing the dress he knows I have (he's seen a picture) at our UK ceremony, and then my Spain blessing dress will be a complete surprise.

And I've also picked out the BM dresses, just need to order those. And my CBM has just told me she's applied to join the Navy, and if she gets in, training will be 9 months to a year long. So if she gets in, there's a pretty good chance that she won't be able to make it to the wedding. I'm gutted, but I know that she's wanted it for a long time and that's more important than my wedding.
