ok so i got my card for our diy invites but i cant find a local company to do the word printing, so i'm going to have to do it myself with our printer but how do i actually print on to the card- its not even A4 size n not mess too many of them up with errors trying to centralise the wirtting !

could you not print onto coloured paper and mount it onto the card?

Maybe you could print onto A4 and cut down to size as inserts into your cards? I have a Lexmark printer that can do funny things and dad got it for me for about £50 from Argos one day. It senses paper thickness although I can't remember if you can choose paper size. It can also print high quality onto photographic paper. x

You would need to change your settings, then do a test demo on paper, thats what I would do, save wastage!

Some printers wont accept the thickness of card so it may be an idea to find the equivalent width of card but in a cheap white roll and try it out on this first. Also check your printer information book (can be done online if you dont have one) and see if there is a section in there about printing on different widths of paper and card. Is it for the outside of the invitation or inside? For inserts its easy enough to do on paper with centering the wording on Word and use either double sided sticky tape in centrefold of card to place the insert once its printed or use a glue pen. xx

i have a word document that has templates for inserts. if you put your email here i'll email it to you and you could use a home printer or put it on a pen drive and take it to a printers.
