Gonna keep this as simple as possible.
Husband to be parents split and remarried.
Stepmother has 2 sisters, both married.
One of those sisters and her husband have a woman who I can only describe as being the 3rd person in their "couple". They've been married 30 odd years and this other woman has lived with them and tagged along to every family event in the 16 years I've been with my fiance.
It's a weird situation for everyone, except for them. It's like they don't even notice it.
Christmas cards are from them plus her. Passed wedding invitations (from fiancé's step sisters) have been to them plus her.
Neither I nor my fiancé really want to invite the "3rd wheel" to our wedding. If I'm honest, I don't really want to invite the sisters of the step mother, as we're not inviting any of the step dads brothers or sisters, plus it's all a bit icky.
Fiance spoke to dad and stepmum about it and said how we feel and thre response was this; sister and her husband get a shitty on if "3rd wheel" isn't invited so you'd better invite her.

I am furious. How dare they tell us who to invite. Particularly in this case where the woman is the swinger who lives with the sister of the step mother!!

Can I get peoples thoughts on this please and I am ready to stand my ground and say its our wedding, she will NOT be invited, and nor will the step auntie and uncle!!

Do you even have a relationship with these people? It wouldn't cross my mind to invite the step parents family unless i actually had formed a real relationship with them, otherwise why would you?

If they refuse to attend without the thirs wheel is it really any skin off your nose? If they refuse to come then thats on them, if you do decide to chuck them an invite.

    Personally, i wouldn't bother.
