    Ettiquette dictates that you should send an invitation to your officiant. Has anyone else done this? (or am I being really a nal with my traditions again? lol)
    If you did/have sent them an invite how did you word it? Did you send the same one you sent to everyone else or did you word it differently?

    yeah you are meant to do this, my sis did to hers but he was busy! we won't for the simple fact we won't know who our priest will be till a weeks or less before!!

    I've only known a hand full of Brides do it but it was because the officiant was a close family member of friend. I am inviting a member of the cloth (not our Vicar) to the evening do but he is a friend :)

    I believe it dates from when you know the vicar for years from childhood. Never seen it done more recently- I think it would be awkward for both them and you.

    Never heard of it. I would be worried if they needed an invite to come and preform the wedding though
