    Hi all,
We have made our save the dates and used a stamp and ink pad. Despite having stamped them and left them for well over a week before posting one to myself, it has still smudged a bit in the envelope! Not massively but enough for me to know. Does anyone have any tips for preventing this from happening? Thanks.

Is there anything you can spray over it to coat it?

Could you cover them with clear sticky back plastic without spoiling the look?

Blotting paper? Does that still exist? Used to use it in junior school when we first learnt to write with ink pens.

Perfect, thank you. I'll try hairspray as I have some here, if that doesn't work I'll look further into getting blotting paper!

I did think hairspray originally, but might not work as it gets ink out of leather, but worth a go
