My original colour scheme for the wedding, was sage green, a spring wedding the colour fit. I couldn't find anything the right shade. I then went and bought my dress, and I have/will be buying a caramel coloured sash with lace on, see my dress pics. My dress is JA and the belt is from an essence dress. The colour is beautiful, suits my skin colouring, and thus is no my colour scheme.
My stationary has been bought and is ready to make. Chair sashes have been paid for.
Bridesmaid dress shopping is a nightmare. I have 3 bridesmaids, one is very pale in colouring, one olive skinned, and my other is half cast. (I hope not to offend anyone).
I am really easy going with their dresses, I want them to ideally be in the same dress, if not the same dress, the same colour and material. I don't mind what style it is. The girls have all migrated towards long dresses as they feel more bridesmaidy in them, that's fine. However I have finally tracked a coloured dress down, that is right for the caramel colour scheme, otherwise I'm buying blind. And it doesn't suit. It really washes my 3rd bridesmaid out, and she didn't like it, neither did I. The other two weren't with me at the time so I haven't yet seen them in the dress.... The dress I really like is 2bird5 'putty' was a very near match. Instead my bm tried on the same dress in Slate, and it looked amazing. Bm 3 loves this dress, and the colour
My problem is, I really like the colour but am loathe to change my sash, or chair ties. Would it be strange for me and h2b to wear caramel coloured attire, Ie sash, and cravat/tie etc.
And then have my Bms in this slate coloured 2bird5 dress and the ushers to match?
Or would it be weird. I am soooo confused!

I don't think it would look weird. Do you have pics of the slate colour, could you put them next to a pic of your dress with the sash and see what you think? xxx

I dont think it would look weird at all.. Me and H2B are going to be black and white, and the rest of the wedding party will be silvery grey.. It will just make it more obvious that you're the B&G :-) xxx
