The venue is probably the first place most of us did first as you need to see what dates they have. Then if you want a church or civil ceremony? once you have that done you can then start with colours ... theme etc ...x

first thing we did was a first draft of our guest list so we knew roughly how many people our venue needed to be able to hold, then we booked our church then worked out a rough budget, then got quotes for everything and then tried to find the same thing cheaper then it was dress shopping xx

We are getting married in a castle in Wiltshire, and then having a big bbq and camping. Our budget is £2000, but we are making most of things ourselves, including my wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, h2b waistcoat and best womans dress. xx

I have no real pics up yet, as all I've done is book my venue and registrar. Now I'm putting my feet up and having a cup of tea and planning world domination/wedding, but I have a few things on my to-do list - the things you want to book early are the things where people can only do one a day, like the photographer.

My wedding is going to be a mixture of traditional and unusual, but I think that's true of most weddings! It's important to put your own personality on these things.

I'm going to stop burbling now, I may have had some wine..

I could have cried when I missed them at Download last year... stupid H2B won't do festivals..

But wine is gone, and it's bedtime. See you around I hope!

we are getting married at a statley hotel, we are having a 1pm wedding then we go onto a sit down 3 course meal for 40, then our night time guests will turn up for disco and more food! i have to admit dress was my first priority :) lol i chose dress then looked at venue booked that without even thinking about registrar then done registrar thankfully they werent booked at all as we are getting married on a sunday so had full choice of times :)

i started planning my wedding jan 15th this year and all i have left to do is pay for suits, buy rings and buy bridesmaid dress. we only have £755 left to pay on our venue then everything is done :D

enjoy your planning and maybe dont become as obsessed as me with trying to get everything done quickly! lol
