My H2B is really shy and refuses point blank to do a speech which is fine because I'm a loud mouth and am happy to do it.

It's all written but I'm having a panic about it now
    It goes:

Explaining that I'm doing the speech instead of H2B
Thank you's for coming and to people who travelled
Thank you's to both sets of parents for support and money towards the day
Thanks to my dad for giving me away and Auntie for reading at the ceremony
Generic thanks to everyone else who has helped
How beautiful the bridesmaids look and thanks to them
Thanks to the best men and looking forward to the speech
Little bit about me and husband
    End on the toast.

    What do you think?
    Thanks! :)

H2B is doing a speech (although he is shy and will prob stutter through it!) I would like to say a small speech as my dad is no longer with us, more to thank my mum than anything, but I reckon I would sob and wail all through it!!!!!!! Good for you... sounds like you have it covered! :D xx

Red, I was going to do one instead of hubby - i wrote one then he decided he would do one too. When we were alone once our guests had been herded upstairs, we decided to do one totally off the cuff together and it was great!

Sounds like you've got it all covered. Well done you for taking matters into your own hands. My sister in laws husband really didn't want to do a speech and just basically got up and mumbled a bit - even though everyone understood it was a shame that neither of the bride and groom really said anything. I'm lucky my H2B a) has been a best man before, b) gave his sister away and so did the fathers speech and c) people always ask him to do readings at weddings and christenings so even though he still gets nervous he's done it loads! x
