I haven't spoke to H2B about it yet, but was wondering what peoples thoughts are or ideas on getting your hubby to be a wedding present for/on the day? I don't think H2B will want to bother with getting eachother gifts, I mean we are already paying for so much with wedding and honeymoon (also trying to save for a house) and he spent a small fortune on the engagement ring in the first place! I think a small token would be nice, but even then what do you get them??? And how much to spend??

I think it's a cute idea. It doesn't have to be anything big or anything expensive.. maybe just a card with something heart felt written inside for example.
I'm thinking of doing a 'grooms box' for my OH which will probably include socks (in case he gets cold feet), a miniature bottle of alcohol (for the nerves hehe), something signed from his favourite football team, and other bits and bobs that are personal to us and meaningful. Although I have also thought about getting him a new watch as he LOVES his watches.. with a note saying 'don't be late' xx

I am getting my h2b a card and a little book that he will love because it is quite fitting for our relationship but nothing else - we don't really need anything and its hard enough to buy for him as it is! I don't think its necessary to get anything just for the sake of it if there is something personal or sentimental then great but we definitely don't need any more clutter! I have no idea if he is getting me anything and I won't be bothered if he doesn't... :) xx

Thats a cute and quirky idea Flossie!!
Kitty my man is the same, so hard to buy for. Unless it's a motorcycle part he doesn't get too excited lol. I think I'll keep an eye out if there is anything i see that I know he'd like, personal and sentimental like you say, then get it.
No I wouldn't be bothered at all either if he didn't get me anything because our day is us making a promise to one another and that in itself is special enough.
I've just to the stage now where I am thinking is there really any need for all these wee extras and also like you say - no point getting anything just for the sake of it! xx

i bought Mr lala , and solid silver pocket watch and chain , a antique silver topped walking cane , and cuff-links handmade from silver sixpences minted in the year he was born .( if you want the link just shout)
he bought me a silver Tiffany bracelet and tickets to Elton Johns opening night at Ceasers Palace in Las vegas
i also think it is a good idea, i would go for something personalised so it adds that extra something special and meaningful for the big day. Try having a look here for some ideas EDIT: LINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FORUM, THE LINK HAS BEEN DELETED FOR BREAKING FORUM RULES. MODS
