So, I've had my heart set on getting my dress from a particular place that specialises in the sort of fantasy/medieval look I want.
Managed to get through on the 'phone just after lunch yesterday (we had emailed back and forth for a bit months and months ago), and the woman who runs it said she'd have to check her diary to see if she could fit in another dress order with what she already has, and we agreed on a tentative date and time for me to go and look at/try on samples of the dresses I really like (subject to her being able to fit in a new order, obvs.)
She said she'd call or email me as soon as she knew, so I figured it would only be a matter of hours before I heard back.
How soon would be too soon to call or email as a follow up?
I appreciate she's probably very busy, and I did mention to her that I understand if she can't fit me in as I have left it a little last minute (wanted to be sure we could afford custom outfits for both J and me, currently waiting on final decision on a loan from the bank); but while I don't want to come across as a panicky bride, or even dreaded bridezilla, I also don't want to be desperately trying to find something "close enough" in more modern dresses, with only a few months to go.
Why, oh why, does wedding planning feel like it's going so slow until you're under six months out, and then ratchets up the pace to breakneck speed?!

There'd be no harm in calling back today. Just sAy you will need to know by a certain date so you still have time to organize things. I'm sure she'll understand.

Well, just before I was going to call her on wednesday, I was checking through my emails to double-check which dress designs I had said I wanted to intially look at (she had asked and I couldn't remember), when up popped a new message from her confirming my appointment for monday and saying it looks like she'll be able to fit in an order in time for June after all!
Ooh, I'm so excited; even knowing I'm going to have to get up soooooo early to get the train down there (was going to go from my dad's originally, but he's away this weekend and not sure if he'll be back in time on monday, though I know he'll try)!
