Basically I would like to hire a car as I REALLY don't fancy walking 20 mins to the registry office in possible snow (it has snowed here for the past 2 February's so just going to assume the worst)

I haven't looked seriously yet, but was wondering what a good price is. What have you been quoted? And for what car?

We paid £620 for a Daimler limo and a 1930s style beauford. We had them for 3 or 4 hours in total.

MrsC2b, with that, its worth going to local stables. My friend owns a stable in Devon and has a carriage that she does weddings in but isnt really advertised as its only really a thing she does cos she likes doing it, not to make money. Lol.

thats a fab idea :-) ive seen photos of like a red double decker bus that people can use and its all decked out in wedding stuff and has wedding written as destination.. i liked that idea!! we only want horse and carriage to get me and my dad to church and for some photos but then after that we are happy for whatever other transport to get us from the church to hotel :-) might have a look into that idea :-)
