We decided to make our invites, well I'm making them, and all stationary, and I wanted candles, lots of candles.. Thanks p1ntrest for the ideas. This weekend saw us make 200 candles in a local candle shop, that showed us how to pour, scent, die and create candles for our wedding. It took 5 hours to make them in purple and white, but I am so pleased with the result. I have been able to die the candles to the specific colour I wanted too, so truly a bespoke colour matching service. I'm so happy. Pictures in my albumn.

I am making my own paper straws with east of India taping as the flags, and I'm hoping to make my own table numbers which will be the numbers as buttons sewn onto tapestry on wooden sewing rings x

Quite abit, I'm sat here making my paper bouquet at the moment and it's taking bloody ages, got 5 BM's and 2 flower girls to go!

I've already made and sent most of my save the dates, I need to get a wriggle on with my invites as well

My table names I'm sort of half doing myself, bought some clapper boards which I'm writing the table names on and I'm also attaching a little bit of related something or other to it to jazz it up abit

I'm also doing my own centre pieces, just emailed a lady about fish bowls which il be using with candles as my centre pieces :)

Oh, I may or may not end up customising my BM's shoes lol

    I'm pretty sure that's it

I was gunna do my own photo booth and candy buffet, but I decided to just hire both those in instead. Plus I think that was just too much to take on with everything else Im doing lol

Ive tried to maoe loads but we have very talented family! My cousin is a stationer so she is doing anything printted, including our embossed table plan on a big mirror. We are doing the table names, our own sweet cart. I am also making a basket of confetti for everyone. I am also making the three bm's dresses. One down 2 to go and looking/fitting well. I think thats about it!

    Hey everyone,

I have really tried to save the pennies planning my wedding so I'd have more money for an amazing HONEYMOON! (hoping to go somewhere extremely hot, preferably Hawaii) I have made the place settings, inserts, centre pieces, favours, table plan, table names and blinged up my bridesmaids dresses. I am really pleased with my favours, I've gone for little glass jars with jelly beans. (I got so much inspiration and help off Pinterest!!!) However, I decided to get my invitations made, probably would've cost more making my own!

Good luck with your wedding planning! :)

    I will be making:

    Invites
    STD
    Centre Pieces
    Favours
    Table Plan
    Table Names
    Place Cards

Going to buy a plain jigsaw instead of a guest book and frame it with all the messages from everyone, possibly will be renting a photobooth or will put props in a corner and get a Polaroid camera. My inspiration is a New Zealand theme because I'm from there and my most of my family won't be able to join us. Favours will be coming from NZ and some stuff in the centre pieces too. :)

I've just realised this was last year. How has everyone got on with their DIY??

We originally planned on doing quite a bit of DIY, but in reality we've ended up doing very little. We are doing our own sweetie table, and have done the favours. I have also bought hurricane vases & candles for the aisle, and that's about it. We paid someone to make the invites, seating plan, chairs/covers/table decs.

I'm making all the girls posies and my bouquet with paper book pages, and corsages and buttonholes.
My fbil is making our favours for us, (truffels) he's a chef and did this for his own wedding.
I'm also making star garlands to drape across the dealing of the reception room. And my friend is making us a 4th doctor scarf.
Me and my mum is also making the bridesmaid dresses ( or Gina try, if no we have a plan b.)

Reserved signs for seats at ceremony

Decided we're going to forget hiring a photo booth as it's just too much so instead going to DIY a backdrop and use a digital polaroid camera that autoshares to social media but also prints a sticky back picture to go in our guestbook. Hell of a lot cheaper and more fun I think.

Just got to hope no one pinches the camera. :-/

    Thanks Welsh :D

We're having an Alice in Wonderland wedding so going to track down some props for that and also some random ones so will check out HB etc to see what I can get.

Was speaking to OH about it last night on what instant camera to choose as they all have their pro's and cons. Think we're going to go for a Pol@roid digital instant print camera because it autoshares to social media so everyone can see them later on FB etc
