Gorgeous dress Faye, did you bustle it in the evenings or did you have a wrist strap??

I agree mrsC I would be fed up of lugging it about all evening.

Think I'm going to go for a bustle

I had a bustle put on my dress but on the big day both my BMs couldn't do it up, was funny watching them trying, poor loves. So I carried it on my wrist for the evening and actually it was surprisingly fine, didn't bother me in the slightest, not even when I was dancing.

I guess it depends what dress you have as some are really flowy and light, whereas others are really bulky and heavy.

Haha im going to get the lady at my dress shop to teach my mum and bridesmaides how to do it so they know for the day lol! x

Well I managed to find my dress - no tears of joy, but I kept going back to it and comparing every other dress to it. It cost £860 - I had set aside £1000, so not too bad, although it will have to be altered/

    Lovely dress Faye btw

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan

Think mine was £1195, the veil was £50 and the alterations were around £190, but I did have a lot chopped off and needed to be taken in two dress sizes.

So many people have had to pay for their alterations. Mine was included in the package.... at least I hope so, I'm picking it up tomorrow I 'd hate to be hit with a bill.

I think the alterations cost all depends on the shop itself, some will have external seamstresses and other who work in the shop might be a seamstress, I was told my alterations will be about 80 by the time I have them done.

To be fair Steph, our original BM dresses, the alerations were included in the price. In the end i bought different dresses and paid seperatley for the alterations!
