I've been pondering over how much to spend on my bridesmaid and groomsman gifts. None of them will have major input in the wedding, all i am asking is for them to spend a bit of time at dress fittings to be honest. I dont expect help as they all have familys to concentrate on or live too far away. I am paying for their dresses/suits etc so i dont feel i should spend too much.
    How much are you spending?

I got both bm's a guess bracelet type thing for £18 each and the fg a silver bangle for about £12. Leaving the pb and best man to h2b (so probably nothing lol). I didn't want to spend a fortune but at the same time I totally agree. None of mine have had any input infact my youngest sister is the chief bm and she was supposed to organise my hen do which has turned into a disaster which I've had to clean up out of my own pocket (£160 for the deposits and still waiting for half of it back with 2 weeks to the hen do!)

Go with your gut, if you don't want to spend much get them something like a little trinket box or something small to say cheers for turning up lol. If I'd thought about it more, I'd have got them some sort of engraved keyring for my sisters and a toy for the fg. Done now though so hope they like them!

I wont be spending too much. we cant afford lots on gifts. All the wedding planning has been done by me without input by anyone other than H2B when requested so bit reluctant to spend lots of money on people to thank for help when they done nothing. Obviously the flower girls and paige boys i am getting something nice and my sister who is chief bridesmaid and permanently on call but most likely be the jewelery she is wearing on the day

    Going to become Mrs Stockman
Got engaged on 26th April 2011
    Getting married 19th May 2012

I couldn't afford a lot on thank you gifts, but I got my daughter who is my BM an Alice in Wonderland charm bracelet, the best man a Keep Calm and Carry on Fishing t-shirt, he is so hard to buy for but h2b said he will love it, mad on fishing. Got MIL2b a sock bouquet, bit different, but will probably get her a proper bunch of flowers too. FIL2b I am buying HMV vouchers as he loves his music. MOH has got an Alice in Wonderland book mark, with charms on it and a Winnie the Pooh plaque, she loves him! Very unconventional gifts but I wanted to get them all something they would either wear or use. My parents aren't coming but I got them a Brambly Hedge "The Wedding" plate, which I will send them with a bottle of wine as they still paid for some of the food and one of the wedding cakes. Just need to get something for my youngest daughter who is the FG and the usher who I don't really know so am going to leave that to h2b to choose, but running out of time now so he better get a move on! :) x

I'm buying them necklaces to go with their dresses. Got them at a steal from Debs for £8 a piece :D
I'm going to be spending around the same for my flowergirl, depending on bay of e prices- I'm getting her a ballerina necklace. She loves mine so I'm going to give her one of her own. She's a budding dancer, that one :D

Just bought my flowergirl's necklace- £7.50 on bay of e.
Man, compared to you lovely ladies, I look really cheap!

I have got gorgeous charms for my bridemaids of bay of e, they are to clip onto a charm carrier bracelet, the bracelet is from Argos at £9.99 (just black bead with silver charm carrier attached) the charms have a lucky sixpence, thier initial and a heart that says bridesmaid on it, sound tacky but look really good I will put a pic on my wall, they also come with a little personalised card to say thank you for being bridesmaid and at £3.99 each I think they were a steal. so thats £14 each bridesmaid, flowergirl is having a Rag doll with the dolls apron being embroidered with a personalised message to say thank you. Page boy is 7 so prob Game voucher, also my son is head usher he is 16 so prob also Game voucher. Maid of honour am stuck for and also the two mums am also stuck for ideas...... x x

I have brought 4 bracelets at £10 and a chasmere / silk scarve of bay of e at 3.00 and the BM and 2 usher are getting a tankard engraved for £9.99.

I still think we shouldnt have done this as we brought the dresses and hire the suits and paying for all the food and drink.. Why should we have to by presents?? You never go around to someone house to diner and give your guest a present!! H2B said we had to because it was expected... he won!!

I spent about £30 on my bridesmaids as they were both a great help and was very involved with the wedding. I brought them ear rings and a bracelet to wear on the day which came to £30. But then I also got free necklaces with my wedding rings, so I gave them each one of them when the speeches were being done. Plus I paid for their dresses. I spent less on the flower girls, I brought them each a personalised teddy which were £15, got the page boy the same. Ushers had £20 each spent on them, best man had £30.

I don't think you need to spend a lot really, just a keepsake that they can remember what it was for. We're getting an engraved fob watch for h2b's 14 yr old son who is best man, my 2 youngest are 8 & 11 and getting them a bracelet each - have seen some charm-type ones which have a message charm that can be engraved from bridal gift box they're £35, not sure about my eldest girl who's 16, she's my MOH. It's a bit different for us though I suppose as they are all our children. h2b's brother is being 'assistant' best man so will have to get him a gift too. My mum is making the cake so would really like to get her something special but will probably get her and MIL2B a bouquet each as both sets of parents are helping. As for our dads I really have no clue!!! Any ideas gratefully accepted :)

I haven't spent to much, they all have a necklace for £15 which says "Bridesmaid" on one side and the Wedding Date on the other. And then they all have a little survival kit, that I was going to buy them, but I made them myself including the bags because it was cheaper. The survival kits cost me about £5 to make and they retails for about £6.50 on Amazon. xx

I have paid over £200 for each bridesmaid dress, I have bought and dyed the shoes at between £50 and £70 a pair and I will get them earrings and necklaces all the same so they match on the day. As I have chosen everything (I did give them input though into what they liked/didnt like and they all ended up with their own style shoes) I didnt want them to pay for anything, however as the wedding day jewellery will already be on them at the reception I wanted to get them something to give at the speeches. I saw some ornate pearl decorated clutch mirrors in debenhams and i thought maybe I could get them ingraved? However they were only £10 each and I was worried that this was me being a bit cheap? Cant afford to spend too much but wondered if I should try to spend a little more and get something else? They are all lovely girls and I want them to know how much I appreciate their friendship.

I said previously on this post I was thinking of getting them a necklace to wear for the wedding but when we had our ring appointment we 're getting 3 lovely necklaces free so I'll be giving them to the girls in the morning to wear and I think I'll buy them a little something to had over during the speeches etc. Won't be spending too much though as I'm paying for their dresses, shoes and hair x

But then i have bought there shoes at £30 each and accessories at £10 each and payin for hair on day £15 each so think its enough?
