We are currently making our invites and the template i am using has a date on when we should request rsvp's to be returned by , does anybody know how long you should really give to ask for them back by?

I think it depends on your venue and when they want numbers confirmed, we are getting married on the 19th May and I have asked for RSVP by the 1st March which leaves about 8 weeks to the beginning of the wedding month :)
You don't want to leave it too long or people will lose and forget to send them but give yourself enough time to chase and get numbers to the venue, It also depends how strict you are. people know me well enough to know if they don't send back an RSVP I will just remove them from the list because I refuse to stress myself out about it lol x

Our venue want numbers 1 month before the wedding date so we have a RSVP date of 2 months before to give us a month to chase stragglers and strangle them :)

weve left 8 weeks, venue need numbers 6 weeks before, so this gives us 2 weeks of chasing people (in that current annying process just now lol) x

definitely! it's not an easy feat at all, i'm glad the plan is to only get married once i wouldn't want to have to do it again.
